Our fifth annual King’s Trust Global Gala in New York City was all the more special in the presence of our Royal Founding President, His Majesty the King, and Her Majesty the Queen on their visit to the United States. Just as the United States marks its 250th anniversary, The King’s Trust celebrates its own special milestone in 2026: 50 years of working for young people. ❤️ His Majesty set out to establish The King’s Trust when he realized that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. His original vision is now a worldwide movement that is transforming young lives in more than 20 countries, including the United States. During The King’s Trust - Greater Together Reception at the Global Gala, Their Majesties met with young people from Chicago, New York, Canada, and the United Kingdom to learn about their experiences taking part in The Trust’s programming and their aspirations for the future. ✨ We extend our deepest gratitude to @christiesinc for opening up their beautiful space for this event. A Global Gala fit for a golden anniversary. ✨ Last night in New York City, we not only looked back at a legacy of 50 years but also looked forward to building brighter futures for young people around the world. Through the generosity of our guests, we raised more than $3 million — a record-breaking amount — to continue to transform young lives! The total is in! 🎉 Our 50 for 50 challengers who ran the Los Angeles Marathon in March collectively raised more than $20K in support of The King's Trust USA programming. While they didn't have to jump over any literal hurdles on their journey to 26.2 (thank goodness 😅), these runners' efforts will certainly help young people across the country clear their own hurdles to education, employment, and enterprise. Last Wednesday, the stars were aligned around one cause: equipping young people with the skills and confidence to live, learn, and earn. 🌟 Our fifth annual King’s Trust Global Gala is one we won’t ever forget. Young people’s chances of building sustainable careers have been increasingly challenged by global instability and the ongoing cost‑of‑living crisis. Now more than ever it is important that we realize that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Through the funds raised at the Global Gala, we're able to equip more young people with practical skills, confidence and support to move into work, education or training and to realize their potential. From Chicago to the red carpet! Young people from Crops2Customers, the winning team from last year's Enterprise Challenge, were among the distinguished guests at our Global Gala, and we caught them on the red carpet to hear what the night meant to them. That included a moment none of them will forget: meeting Their Majesties the King and Queen.
