Absolutely buzzing to announce that a @straight_8_ film I shot with an incredible bunch of folks across the wilds of Glossop last August has been picked to be part of the Top 25 screening at the BFI IMAX in London in a few weeks!!!
Huge thanks to everyone involved (only a handful of whom are pictured here), and I can't wait to actually see what we shot, and even moreso 66ft high and with a booming soundtrack!
@straight_8_ is one of my favourite ways to make films, this is my 3rd time entering, and my first time selected, and it's been a joy each and every year. I highly recommend all filmmakers try it at some point.

I unashamedly love the 1991 film 'Hudson Hawk'.
I'd heard via an article in Empire magazine that it was one of their 50 worst movies of all time.
Then one evening I stumbled upon it whilst channel hopping, and decided to give it a look, and I loved it.
It's one of those rare films that seemed to be made exactly for my own peculiar sensibilities; idiosyncratic sense of humour, slapstick, cynicism, surreal, OTT action sequences, a bizarre cast of characters, a plot that takes reality and runs off on a flight of fantasy, and people kept bursting into song.
So when I saw that @plumeriapics had published a book called 'The Unmaking Of Hudson Hawk' by David Hughes, there was barely a breath between me finding out and ordering a copy. In part to see if there's anything about the film's behind the scenes chaos I don't yet know!
If you're a fan of offbeat cult movies then I highly recommend opening your mind and (hopefully) enjoying this much maligned Bruce Willis pet project, and then grabbing a copy of this book to find out how much of an odyssey it was to bring to the screen.

A few days in Brighton, felt like no time at all, chaotically herding the kids around, playing hide and seek, watched a couple of films, tried to get them to expand their food horizons (failed), but fun was had.
I used to live in Brighton, I wonder how much stock on the shelves of Snooper's Paradise has stayed the same in all that time?
