First ever LES EDIBLEX was such a blast. Last Thursday we unleashed the first edible acts cabaret I was dreaming about fir a while. A cast of superstars and such wonderful crowd. BRIGHTON FRINGE is upon us ! So wonderful that the month started with many beautiful shows. Mine is later in the month and I wanted to share my poster with the brilliant work from @robvoodoo photo and one very confused cat. She was first very intrigued by my Hag Kuaka but then couldn't believe what was happening when she was scratched by the Hag's hand. I know it is not best practice to change the photo from the lisiting one to the poster, even though from the same shoot in Bali. But this photo was hilarious and too good to miss so here it is. My practice centres on creating immersive, participatory theatre experiences that explore complex emotional, psychological and social themes in a joyful, engaging and accessible way. I work at the intersection of clowning, interactive theatre, dance, education, socially engaged and queer esoteric forms. In all my work I am deeply interested in the audience agency and ways to invite audiences to actively shape their own journey, allowing for personal input, reflection and play within a collective experience. My work has been showcased at Edinburgh Fringe (including a sold run in 2022), Adelaide Fringe ('Winner of Week 1 Best Show Award - Variety' 2025), Brighton Fringe and Glasgow International Comedy Festival. ACT 7 announcement for Les Ediblex edible cabaret night @finn_happened Finn couldn’t make this date, so Finn’s Lettuce will be joining us instead at @loveschack_ldn This Bristol-based snack of a performer has been waiting too long at the back of the fridge. Blending clown, alternative drag and a salad bar of other things, they are hard to define and even harder to clean up after. Expect an act that is hard to explain to your mum. ACT 6 - our amazing DJ for the post cabaret boogie will be fantabulous @djemmaash . Les Ediblex will not know what hit them to digest all the acts they devoured before the dance started. Emma Ash is a Genderqueer Melodic House and Techno DJ, who mixes elements of Indie Dance, Tech House and Bass House in her sets to engage audiences with a variety of techniques and style. Her sets are uplifting, high energy and great for getting a crowd dancing. Emma Ash has always been interested in the darker and sexier side of dance music... before DJing she was a sound designer for theatre and still loves dramatic sounds that set a scene. A long time resident of San Francisco, she moved to London in 2020 (just in time for Lockdown). Since then she's DJed in locations across the UK and the US. ACT 5 for Les Ediblex night -@haylincai bringing her tree foraging approach to our feast. Haylin is a Chinese theatre maker and clown based in the UK. Combining rituals, play, humour, and collective dreaming in her genre-blending work, she explores what we could do in a world on the brink of ecological and economic collapse. She creates to open space for nuanced voices and invite people to imagine a better way of living. Her recent credits include: Elsewhere在别处 (CPT), Two Terracotta Soldiers Waiting for War (touring in China), Imaginarium (George Town, Insideout Tech-art Festival). Act 3 for Les Ediblex, edible acts cabaret 14 May 2026 - @fannybleach So excited to have this super star, winner of Top of the Slops few seasons back, bringing their prawn into a vegan safe haven! Fanny Bleach is a Geordie award winning drag and performance artist. She writes and performs for Your Aunt Fanny, the Newcastle based all female comedy sketch group and her first solo show ‘The Nearly Naked Show is in development for Edinburgh Fringe 2026. Fanny prides herself on creating subversive, grotesque work, the world is burning so dressing up as a prawn and covering herself in mayonnaise feels like honest work. Act 2 announcement for Les Ediblex premier. It is @sumicomedy . And we are lucky to snatch her just a week after her another shiny residence at Soho Theatre early May. Su Mi is a British Queer Malaysian Alternative Comedienne / Musician born from the treacherous depths of East London. High energy and storytelling. SOLD OUT show at the Soho Theatre for Soho Rising Festival 2024 , SOLD out run at the Camden Fringe and SOLD OUT shows for her one woman show ‘ Banana Beard’ at the VAULT Festival 2023. It has gone to the Women in Comedy Festival 2022 & 2023, Leicester Comedy Festival 2023, Glasgow Comedy festival 2023 & 2024, Brighton Fringe 2023 & 2024 and Edinburgh Festival 2023 at the Blundabus. Her biggest achievement to date is her BBC Comedian of the Year performance which was broadcasted on BBC Three and can be seen on BBC iPlayer. As we are now a month away from our first ever Les Ediblex, edible acts cabaret, which will happen Thu 14 of May in @loveshack_ldn we wanted to start announcing our delicious cast, one each day. First up, a perfomer legend - Arkem Mark Walton (they/he) @arkem_mark_walton is a performer, maker and creative enabler. They have a maximalist style and enjoy a raunchy rhyme. Arkem has graced such stages as the Rabbithole at Glastonbury, the Royal Vauxhall Tavern and a hot air balloon over Turkey. They are ever trying to get into a more vegetative state and encourage you to do the same!
