We donāt share a lot about us, but after the start to the year weāve had, it feels important. These are our two incredible adult kids. Theyāre off doing their own thing, being kind, creative and just generally great humans. Weāre fortunate and so proud.
When we first took on KINeSYS, they were early teens. There were a lot of late nights, early mornings, and more than a few times they wished weād just turn off the laptops, travelled less and stopped talking sunscreen. But we kept going. We had to.
This year, we lost Wadeās mum unexpectedly. It was and still is, hard. But if you looked from the outside, you might not know. Because the truth is, people still want their order. Bills still need to be paid. And your own grief and needs get quietly pushed to the back of the line.
But through all of it, itās family that keeps you going. That keeps you sane. Weāve built KINeSYS together and itās moments like these that remind us what really matters. #familybusinesslife

I donāt share my active journey very often. Mostly because my relationship with running isā¦complicated. Not love/hate. More like love/guilt. I enjoy it, but somehow always feel guilty for taking the time to do it when thereās a business to run, emails to answer, fires to put out, and the general chaos carousel still spinning at full speed.
But lately, as the shit storm of small business life keeps rolling on with absolutely no sign of slowing down, Iāve realised I need to carve out more time for things that make me feel like a human again.
So I did a thing. I ran 8km in the Motherās Day Classic.
And in the spirit of participation over pace, I even managed to go the wrong way on lap two and accidentally added an extra 250m. Elite athlete behaviour.
