When I started my consultancy 5 years ago, I had no idea where this journey would take me. I was brand new to freelancing, constantly pivoting my services, picking up new skills and finding my way. Along the way, I started speaking at events, lecturing at universities, and mentoring new entrepreneurs. I even moved countries and had to rebuild my network. There were slow months, hectic months and plenty of moments of doubt, but I guess every step was part of the growth.
But through it all, one thing never changed: my mission to support small business owners and startup founders. To give them the best marketing strategies, help them launch and grow. Especially founders from underrepresented backgrounds. Since starting my consultancy in 2019, I’ve supported more than 190 businesses across the UK, US and Europe. I remain deeply committed to empowering underrepresented, immigrant and refugee founders.
Tbh, winning this award as an immigrant in the UK means the world to me. I arrived in London 14 years ago knowing just one person, working in a new language, grinding every day to make my way in the marketing world in London. There were many challenges and a lot of self-doubt. But I was also lucky and privileged to meet incredible people who supported me, opened doors and gave me the confidence to start and run my own biz.

It’s that time of year again and the London Coffee Festival didn’t disappoint ☕
Met clients, caught up with friends and spent way too long discovering incredible brands: coffee, matcha, tea, hojicha (seriously having a moment right now) and a lot more. So many exciting drink brands launching in the UK too, I love seeing what’s coming and meeting the people behind some of my fav brands.
Browsed around and got completely sucked into discovering new brands and low-key charmed by some incredible branding (hey @drinkdouze ) and packaging (shout out to @noissueco on this one!); always such good inspiration for that alone.
The star of brand activations was @oatly . A proper New York-style newsstand with a fun moving drink dispenser straight from their lab. 😍🗞️🍵
I always leave with a head full of ideas and a packed tote bag full of goodies 🫶
