Thank you, @austinyourface , for your fabulous work documenting a most singularly divine evening; the band practically immolated, so hot was their jazz, and our fabulous special guests all blew the roof off the place, one after the other. We closed the show with a pairing of “When the World Was Young” and “Just a Gigolo;” I think the opening verse of the former is pure magic: “They call me coquette and mademoiselle, and I must confess: I like it, quite well. And a fabulous time was had by all! @matt_dobras and I had a blast hanging out with our darling friend @johnmacconnell the other night; never mind his indisputable talent, he’s a treasure of a human through and through, and I feel so lucky to have our long friendship immortalized in emptied wine glasses and wonderful works of (John’s) art. It was a real treat to pose with Matt on the 11th anniversary of our first meeting (the timing was accidental, but poetic all the same). Time flies when you’re in love and having fun! 💙💙💙
