Had to get back on social media to celebrate this team! Words can’t express what these last few weeks have been like. We went to home games all season but traveling with @lsuwbkb for the past couple months has been incredible. We had no idea how far the journey would go, but we believed! God moved in SO many ways, and now they are National Champions! 🏆 Sharing just a small part of this journey that blessed me tremendously. To my sisters in the Lord who feel that time is passing them by….. I’m 59. When I turned 50, I was ready to hunker down in the calling God had shown me—writing novels. That in itself had been a surprise, that I’d gone from litigating attorney (my plan) to storyteller (God’s plan). With my kids graduating homeschool, I could finally write full time. I was thrilled. Didn’t ask or seek to do anything more. I thought I understood the extent of the call to storytelling. By 52, God had expanded it. I was telling stories through screenplays and music…..plus acting and singing. The Lord knew I wouldn’t pursue such a path on my own—at my age—without unmistakeable, providential promptings and sovereign confirmations. But it wasn’t about writing screenplays and songs. It was about CLING. It was about intimacy with the Lord. I knew that too was what I’d been called to, the ministry God had given based on Deuteronomy 13:4. I thought I understood the extent of the Cling ministry. It took another few years for God to reveal more. It’s not just Deuteronomy 13:4—it’s the whole of Deuteronomy 13. It’s intimacy with God AND “no other gods”. Thus, it’s also…..warfare. And here’s the thing: I could’ve never imagined what God had in store for this (older) decade of my life. I could’ve never imagined what He would reveal, how He would move, what I would need to endure…….and so much more. YOU cannot imagine what’s ahead for you. You don’t know what the Lord is about to switch up, reveal, clarify, deepen, shake up, prune…. You don’t know what He’s about to call you to or how challenging it may be. And your age is irrelevant to the call. Well, not true. Age IS relevant in the word, to show us how unlikely it was for a thing to be done, so we’d know it’s ALL GOD. Time has not passed you by! How could it, when time is in the Lord’s hands and it’s always perfect. So keep walking with Him, keep seeking, keep clinging, and stay deep in His word. He WILL establish the good works He already ordained for you to walk in (Ephesians 2:10). 🙏🏾💚 #cling #deut13 #noothergods

“Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD” (Psalms 27:14). When that’s one of the verses that’s been on your heart, you know what kind of season it’s been. It doesn’t mean that God has been silent (far from it) or that I’ve been inactive, but it feels like I’ve mostly been…..hidden. Saying no to many things. Waiting to release most things. Rarely posting. Relishing that I’m rarely posting. 😏 And just praying for the Lord to order my steps, order my plans, order everything in accordance with His will. In other words…..clinging. 🙏🏾 Waiting often isn’t easy but I cherish the intimacy with the Lord that comes with waiting. And I love the promises that come with waiting: “For from days of old they have not heard or perceived by ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides You, who acts in behalf of the one who waits for Him.” (Isaiah 64:4) “. . . Yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.” (Isaiah 40:31) If you’ve been in a waiting season, lean into what God is teaching you and revealing to you, cherish how He’s growing you, soak in His word, and watch for His faithfulness—it’s never failing. And know that in time, He will act. And you will gain new strength. You will mount up! 🦅 You will run. That’s a promise! P.S. In the waiting……we made a movie, y’all. 🙌🏾🔥 Follow @clingthemovie

Such an amazing weekend with family and friends celebrating the inauguration of @williamftate4 as President of Rutgers University. From Friday on the Newark campus to Saturday in New Brunswick for the football game, it was truly a special time. So thankful to everyone who worked tirelessly to make this a memorable occasion. #rutgers ❤️

Super late post but timely since it’s about that season again. 😊🏀 This past June, my last day on LSU’s campus was spent with my women’s basketball family. I was so moved that they would take time to gather for lunch and fun conversation—plus parting gifts with memories of my time there. 😭😭 I will be forever grateful for how they took me in two years ago. The practices, the road trips, antics at meals on the road 😂, special one-on-one convos, sitting behind the bench at games….THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP 🙌🏾 so many memories! I praise God because He shows His faithfulness from season to season, often in unexpected ways. 🙏🏽 Also…. I’m glad we’re not at another SEC school so I can say without hesitation that my heart will always be with this team. I just have to get over watching from afar on tv. 😭 Love always! 💜💛 @lsuwbkb #lsu #geauxtigers
