As a movie lover…. and as I will watch these old classics….. these beautifully photographed women and men out of the 40s and 50s 60s… I will sometimes stop and realize…. that they are no longer with us….
and this sudden realization brings on a melancholy moment that eases it’s way into me…… and every once in a rare moment, it hits me even harder…and I find myself asking… How can THEY be gone?
Such as I found myself saying about my friend Redford………. (as that’s what I called him)…….

This is MY baby behind the sheers and she is…… (If there is such a thing)……….. the very best mom I’ve ever witnessed…. starting with her fur babies she has raised to now raising a daughter of her own who will turn three next week….
