Hey Passenger!
Narrow is the way.
This life… this road… this winding path we sway.
We were never meant to steer it,
Yet He gave us keys, though He knew we’d fear it.
We’re all just passengers
on this sacred ride called life.
And when the Driver pulls up,
you get in.
No delay.
No looking back.
Lot’s wife taught us what comes from that.
Some stops, I begged to stay.
Some places felt like home…like I could stay.
But comfort isn’t always calling,
and calling isn’t comfort.
It’s not always calm or kind
sometimes it’s hard to leave comfort behind.
Still, I trust the One who directs.
His directions come as holy correction.
Through every twist,
each turn and slide,
through detours I’d rather not collide…
God, take the wheel. Be my guide.
It’s not about the destination.
It’s about the drive
The ride with the One who keeps my soul alive.
The journey slow, with grace as song,
quiet talks with my Savior as we ride along.
Scenic detours… laughter and tears,
Stories formed through faith and years.
Sunrise over unfamiliar roads,
Sitting with the yoke…He carries all my heavy loads.
There will be stops I don’t enjoy…
Stations where fuel costs more than I want to give,
Charging moments that feel like waiting rooms,
Potholes that hit hard…but still, I live.
Because they’re necessary.
They’re part of the ride,
The path He’s driving me through
not to harm, but to guide.
I can’t see around the bend,
But I ride with a faithful Friend.
And He can.
So I won’t reach for the wheel in pride,
I’ll lean in soft, and let Him guide.
No fear.
No need to strive.
There’s purpose in every mile I ride.
