One of my favorite type of shots are what I like to call “Zoom Out” shots. One that is taken from behind my subject as they are looking at the background of the photo. So often we get caught up in our lives and all the bullshit happening day to day we forget to Zoom Out, see life from someone else’s lens and look around at the things around us that we are likely missing out on.
Bonus points if you can spot Nora’s ear.

It’s been 2 months since moving to Seattle and every day I’ve fallen more and more in love with this city. While it’s different from Phoenix in almost every way, it feels right; despite some of the hiccups and losses along the way.
For the first time in my life all of the bullshit, heartache, and pain that I’ve been through over the course of my life is starting to feel like it had its purpose. And it’s only the beginning.

An ode to Arizona.
This place will always be considered home in my heart. But since I was a kid I knew there was somewhere else out there for me. Things never felt quite right in Phoenix even though I grew up there. And after my first visit to Seattle I knew this was my next home. It took quite some time and a lot of patience but I know I made the right choice.

As some of you have probably seen, Nora has been recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure and she may have only about 6 months before it takes her. She has been my best friend and adventure partner. Receiving this news has put a huge strain on me.
Due to the massive vet bills that have come with this diagnosis, I have started a gofundme as it has caused a huge financial strain on me after my move to Seattle. I hate asking for help, especially financially, during times like this but have come to no other choice after accumulating almost $3,000 just to get her treated/diagnosed.
