There are so many things that come to mind when I think about my Dad. He is the man who taught me to walk the walk rather than just talk. Without ever having to say much of anything, he led by example and for that reason, everyone loved and respected him.
I remember my Dad telling me a while back he wanted a child so that he could carry on his name. As his only son, it is my prayer that I made him proud while he was alive. I hope he knew every day how much I loved him and how grateful I am that he gave me all he had. And even though he is no longer here with me on Earth, I want him to rest knowing that his name and legacy will live on through me as long I’m alive. I love you Dad and I miss you everyday. Writing this post is very difficult. I want to start by saying, Mom I love you so much. Thank you being my best friend, protector, and providing me with so much love and guidance. I don’t know how I’ll ever fill the void in my heart, but I thank God for having you in my life. You are one of the kindest, funniest, most respectful people I know. Even in your very last moments you were still making me laugh. I can’t tell you how much I’m going to miss our talks and hearing your voice. Thank you for being a blessing to me and my family.
