Yesterday's install at studio sessions @goldsmithsstudiosessions
Thank you to those who came and gave feedback. Also, part of the presentation is a new work-in-progress made in collaboration with @ehh.joshkon that features a moving gloved hand (modelled after my own) that is a translation of a video work (small screen bottom left). Also thought the last photo of my own shadow on the curtain during golden hour looked sinister. ๐ซฑ
Presenting a body of work at @untitledartfairs with @starch.sg that opened today and will run till Sunday, 7th December.
More photos to follow!

New orientations and expansions
Swipe right for a video of me, in drag, laughing with you. Also included is an image of actor Moses Lim. The video is part of a longer (slightly) satirical video project called "reasons for my broken wrist" where I attempt to tire my wrist out through a series of actions.

Little fun fact: Moses is actually not my registered government name. I adopted it as a defense mechanism when I was younger when people started comparing me to actor, Moses Lim (RIP) and I decided to take it on so someone couldn't laugh at me/ It's an inside joke/ I made the joke first so you couldn't. I also got baptised (at a conversion therapy church thing ) and carried the joke maybe a bit far too long.

There are two more days to see 'New Containers' on display in our space in Marylebone. It closes end of this sat the 24th of Jan.
Moses Tan, Tucked away, 2025. Graphite on watercolour paper, found wooden toy cupboard, pendant, 22 x 14 x 6 cm.
Moses Tan, Folded away, 2025. Graphite on watercolour paper, Found Victorian photo film holder, 16 x 10.5 x 16 cm.
This pair of works is constructed using British-made found wooden objects which house images based on personal photographs of queer love. Singapore, a former British colony, retained colonial-era legislation that criminalised homosexuality. While it was repealed in 2022, the legacy of this law has long shaped queer lives within Singaporeโs evolving social landscape. The works consider veiling and unveiling personal histories within the wider colonial context. The graphite drawings are folded into crevices and receptacles, tucked away carefully as private, disavowed mementos, hidden away from wandering eyes and ears.
