First pass at a beetle I'll be doing for Intro to Acrylics at Node in June. I have a little more finessing to do as the one I'll be teaching but he was a fun little part of my day.
I drew this hot dog by looking at a hot dog and asking myself what shape is a hot dog. Don't draw the hot dog you see, draw the shapes a hot dog *is*. Internalize the hot dog. Break it down into smaller pieced of a hot dog. On the other end is art.

You are in a walk and you see a strange crystal by the side of the road. Inside of it appears to be a little creature. You've heard of these before, and decide to try and hatch it.
