Countless times Iāve been asked things like:
āHow are you so confident to pose like this?ā
āTo wear this?ā
āTo show your body this way?ā
And the truth is⦠I donāt think confidence looks the way many people think it does. I want to answer these questions yet ..
yet Iām thinking a lot lately about how quickly we assign meaning to what we see.
Confidence.
Beauty.
Happiness.
Freedom.
We scroll , see an image and instinctively decide what someone must feel inside of it.
But so much of what gets interpreted as confidence is simply performance that became socially rewarded.
And I donāt mean āfake.ā
I mean learned.
Conditioned.
Practiced.
Repeated.
Especially women, wee learn very early which versions of ourselves get praised more loudly š³š³š³
So we performā¦
Sometimes consciously.
Sometimes without even realizing it anymore.
And yet, underneath all the presentation, styling, posing, posting,ā¦
there is still just a human being trying to exist honestly inside all of it. No?⦠š
Truthfully, Iāve taken photos while feeling powerful.
And Iāve taken powerful looking photos while feeling deeply fragile.
Sometimes confidence is real.
Sometimes itās protection.
Sometimes itās curiosity.
Sometimes itās art.
Sometimes itās simply me trying to make peace with being perceived at all.
Maybe thatās why being perceived can feel so vulnerable sometimes.
Even in our most ābeautifulā moments.
(And by putting āā to ābeautiful,ā I mean socially acceptable beautiful . .. as truly many more moments can be seen beautiful than what weāre taught to see as such

Every post we lay our eyes onā¦
is just a moment.
Not the full picture.
Not the before. Not the afterā¦.
And somehow, itās easy to forget that.
Easy to build a whole story around someoneās life from a single frame.
I catch myself doing it too.
Thinking how far removed my life must be from theirs.
Ahhhh..:Her style is always perfect.
Her life always looks fun.
But chances areā¦
sheās also at home in a stretched-out t-shirt most days, just like me.
So who am I to decide what someone elseās life really looks like?
We all have our highs, our lowsā¦
and a lot of ordinary in between.
And honestlyā¦..
the ordinary is just as worthy as any moment we choose to post.
I love you guys

We wear new celebrity makeovers like they have anything to do with us. Like theyāre no longer their own people, theyāre OUR FILTERS we casually see ourselves through. Have you gone a day without any chance of wishing for something to be even a tiny bit different about your look? This may not apply to many of you, but some of us live with this additional LIMB of consciousness nobody asked for. This limb points its sharp like a knife finger at every little thing that can change in us, as if it empowers us towards a ābetter lifeā. Little sneaky Liar. Then is not a life. Then doesnāt exist. The what exists is your current body and face, absolutely deserving of every inch of your loving accepting attention, your nurturing gaze ⦠time is NOW. You are now. Can we live a day bathing ourselves in self -kindness ⦠or an hour ?⦠one minute?

Modeling is a craft
Modeling is not a magazine cover. Itās not celebrity makeup.
Itās not just being ābeautifulā and writing model in your bio.
Itās study.
Itās repetition.
Itās showing up even when thereās no paid shoot that day.
Full-time modeling doesnāt mean shooting Monday through Friday.
It means dedicating yourself like itās a 40-hour work week anyway.
Studying poses. TESTING movement.
Itās asking
āHow do I sell these shoes today?ā and coming up with new poses ,itās pushing the limits little by little and not afraid to look weird
Modeling isnāt boxed into WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE ( limiting belief)
Itās what you do with what you look like.
As a curve model, I donāt get to rely on default angles.
I train balance. Control. Range.
Because selling sneakers isnāt standing still itās showing ease in motion.
This is work.
And I take my craft seriously. I hope you do too. Iām always here to support new models - reach out , letās chat always šššš Shoes @naturalizer
