Hello friends!
I want to send love to the one and only @missjillscott
Throughout her career, Ms. Scott has lived in our hearts, minds, and ears…supporting the arts and leading with a kind of creativity that impacts generations. I know that personally because years ago she gave me the opportunity to work with her. To have my creativity paired with hers is something I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.
I’m grateful to be part of her new album “To Whom This May Concern” with the record I worked on “BPOTY” featuring @tooshort
The title of the album is very intentional. We’re living in a time when we all have to think about what truly concerns us and what will be handed to the generations after us.
“BPOTY” speaks to a world where institutions (corporate or otherwise) exploit everyday lives. Recently someone close to me experienced a dramatic increase in the cost of a life-sustaining medication…a percentage jump that didn’t feel connected to any fair or humane economy.
But beyond frustration, this project invites reflection.
So when you listen, I want you to sit with a few questions:
Who does this concern?
Does it concern me?
And what am I willing to do about it?
Hope you give it a listen!
Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.
Huge love and thanks to Miss Jane Elliott for the work she’s dedicated her life to — and for inspiring a film that brought together so many thoughtful, talented, and genuinely good people. None of us are perfect, but projects like this remind us that we always have the chance to be better.
Being able to write music for this film has been an incredible experience, and I’m thankful for everyone who helped bring it into the world with care, intention, and heart. My hope is that when the film is out, you’ll give it a watch with an open mind and an open heart.
Thank you to the @flatbushpictures team for inviting me into this journey — let’s keep pushing forward. And thank you to @sundanceorg , for so many years of championing films that challenge us to think, feel, and grow. Wishing the festival nothing but continued magic in its next chapter.
So much love to @kjonuzi_@vigface Benjamin May @jennerfurst@danlivin and Cliff. What a ride
Woke up to an outpouring of love and birthday wishes this morning. Thank you to everyone who’s been with me on this journey—through life, through music, through it all. Your support means the world, and I’m here to keep growing and to help others keep moving forward too.
The full video is now live on YouTube, and the song is out everywhere you listen to music. Big love to all the incredible people I met in Guadalajara, and everyone who helped bring this video to life. I appreciate you all deeply.
Keep believing, keep striving for positivity, and keep creating. That’s all I’ve got. It’s been an amazing birthday. Thank you. 💛

The Hollywood Reporter just spotlighted HOMEGROWN (dir. Michael Premo) — a film that’s taken the long festival road and is now going direct to viewers in the U.S. through Gathr.
I composed the music for it, and I’m proud of what we made: It asks you to sit with the hard parts — and that’s exactly why it matters.
Streaming/rental is live today (Jan 6): [LINK IN BIO] Supporting films like this helps them find more homes…

“I ain’t never been perfect. Never said I had all the answers, but it was a dream I couldn’t live without it.” New studio in the works in Austin. I can’t wait to keep creating dreams. #newhome #musicstudio 🎵🎤 @stsisgold
A while back, the team at @blowbackproductions reached out to me about working on a project covering the Hard Hat Riots in NYC. Before this documentary, I knew little about this pivotal inflection point in American history. I don’t want to give too much away, but seeing where the country is now, I can’t help but notice the echoes of history pounding on the doors of our present. History do be repeating itself.
This film reveals a country divided, voices demanding to be heard, and the aftermath of decisions that shaped generations. Digging into this dialogue gave me a whole new perspective on America—I hope it does the same for you.
It airs tonight on PBS. Please support public broadcasting, and share it with the folks around you. Thank you in advance.
It’s been a beautiful ride sharing these stories with you.
July 10 is my birthday, and I’m celebrating by dropping a new song: “Whatever Your Reason.” 🥂
Whatever it is that keeps you inspired, I hope you take a moment to celebrate it too—because I sure will.
Tap in when it drops, have a listen, and maybe even have a drink for whatever your reason is.
Bless y’all!🌱✨
