【KG＋SELECT 2026：進化するアワード｜The Evolving Award】🚩 いよいよ明日4月18日に開幕する「KG＋2026」。くろちく万蔵ビルを舞台に、KG＋のアワード部門である「KG＋SELECT 2026」10組のファイナリストによる展覧会がスタートします。本展は最終審査の場でもあり、展示を通して10組のファイナリストから1組のアワード受賞者が選出。受賞者は2027年のKYOTOGRAPHIEメインプログラムの一つとして招聘され、さらなる展開が期待されます。さらに今年は、イギリスの写真雑誌「British Journal of Photography」によるスペシャル・メンションも決定。ファイナリストの中から1名が選出され、誌面特集が組まれます。 アワードの発表は4月19日の夜。2026年はどの作家が選ばれるのか、お楽しみに 🏆 KG＋SELECT Award 2026 Supported by Sigma @sigma_japan @sigmaglobalvision 「KG+SELECT」は、キャリアや世代を問わず世界中から集まったエントリーの中から、国際的に活躍する審査員により選出された10組のアーティストが展覧会を開催。アワード受賞者（KG＋SELECT Award Winner）が1組選ばれ、翌年のKYOTOGRAPHIEオフィシャルプログラムの1つとして展覧会が開催されます。 “KG＋SELECT 2026,” the award section of KG＋, opens tomorrow, April 18. Held at Kurochiku Makura Building, the exhibition features 10 finalist artists. This exhibition also serves as the final stage of the selection process, where one award winner will be chosen. The selected artist will be invited to present their work as part of the KYOTOGRAPHIE 2027 main program, opening up further international opportunities. This year, the UK-based magazine British Journal of Photography will also select one artist for a Special Mention, with a feature in the magazine. The award winner will be announced on the evening of April 19. 🟡【Events Recap】KG＋ Academy & K-Youth Project 昨年は講座企画のみだった「KG＋ Academy」 今年はさらにその枠を広げ、堀川御池ギャラリーを拠点に、大学や教育機関による展覧会、シンポジウム、そして作家同士の交流会などを網羅する多角的なプロジェクトへと大きく進化を遂げました。写真における「学び」とは何かを問い直し、対話が生まれた濃密な2日間のイベントを振り返ります。 Last year, "KG＋ Academy" began as a series of lectures. This year, it has evolved significantly into a multifaceted project. Centered at Horikawa Oike Gallery, the program now encompasses exhibitions by universities and educational institutions, symposiums, and artist exchange sessions. We look back on two intense days of dialogue that redefined the meaning of "learning" in photography. The GFX Challenge Grant Program aims to support the creative activities of artists active in countries and regions around the world. Applications were accepted from July to September 2024, and following a selection process, works by five Grand Award and ten Regional Award were produced. 【Exhibition View】 🟡KG＋for Collectors コレクター向けの展覧会をピックアップ！ [03] 榮榮＆映里「Love Songs ― 始まりの光」出版記念作品展 RongRong&inri Love Songs — First Light New Publication Exhibition 榮榮＆映里｜RongRong&inri @rongrongandinri 📍京都三影堂｜Kyoto Saneido @kyoto_saneido Open: 4/13–5/31 13:00–19:00 Closed: 不定休｜Irregular holidays 本展「Love Songs ― 始まりの光」出版記念作品展は、榮榮＆映里（ロンロン＆インリ）のPersonal Letters シリーズの出版を記念し、日本で初めて紹介される展覧会です。 Personal Letters は、1999年に出会った二人が、共同制作を始める以前に交わしていた「写真の手紙」を、2022年以降にまとめたシリーズです。出会う以前、それぞれ孤独な時間を過ごしていた榮榮と映里は、出会いをきっかけに写真を通じた交流を始めました。 2000年、映里が初めて北京を訪れ、日本へ戻ってから、写真の手紙のやりとりはより頻繁なものとなります。言葉による十分な意思疎通が難しい状況のなかで、写真そのものが手紙として交わされ、互いの考えや感情、信念を伝える重要な手段となっていきました。 こうして交わされた写真の手紙は、二人の関係の始まりを記録するものとして、二十年以上にわたり大切に保管されてきました。 本シリーズは、2022年にパリのヨーロッパ写真美術館、2023年にニューヨークのICP（International Center of Photography）で展示され、多くの反響を呼びました。本展は、《Personal Letters》シリーズを日本で初公開するとともに、その出版を記念して開催されるものです。 This exhibition, Love Songs — First Light, commemorates the publication of RongRong&inri’s Personal Letters series and marks its first presentation in Japan. Personal Letters brings together the “photographic letters” exchanged by the two artists before they began working collaboratively. After meeting in 1999, RongRong&inri—each having lived through periods of solitude—began to communicate through photography, using images as a means of connection. Following inri’s first visit to Beijing in 2000, the exchange intensified. In a context where verbal communication was limited, photography itself became a form of correspondence, conveying thoughts, emotions, and beliefs. Carefully preserved for over twenty years, these photographic letters document the very beginning of their relationship. The series was exhibited in 2022 at the European Museum of Photography in Paris and in 2023 at theInternational Center of Photography (ICP) in New York.
