I tried something new here. The vocals are Abida Parveen’s and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan‘s from the intro of their recording of “Chaap Tilak” on Coke Studio (go check it out !!!)
There aren’t many technical parts of this recording, I’m trying to recreate the harmony that the vocals sit on. Being consistent with that is hard lol.
This is different from the content that I usually post here so let me know if you like it. I’d like to do more of this in the future.

“We Built This City”, by Starship.
tried something slightly different. recorded all the pieces separately on my computer and pieced it together. I thought it came out pretty cool, but the editing is pretty time consuming. very fun though, and I think I’ll do more of this style of cover. (soca might be really fun to try like this :) )
The sounds you’re hearing are an Electric Piano (on the main frame), bells, a really bright synth brass, a saw wave synth, and a pad that was kinda lost in the mix (that’s the bottom left frame).
“Hold the Line”, off of TOTO’s debut album “TOTO” lol.
This song was what got me into this synth-80s-pop-rock madness, and I love it. Tried to find a close honky-tonk piano tone like what they used on the track. Kinda got sloppy in the end, but it came out pretty okay.
And well, I’m back home for a bit so expect to see more of this kind of stuff. I want to promise that it’s not all gonna be TOTO but I can’t actually guarantee that. Hope it was cool to listen to :D

I think “Waiting for Your Love” has one of the best synth solos that I’ve ever heard. As always, ease meh with the lil mistakes :’)
My left hand was playing a sweet bass tone and my right was playing a Rhodes for most of the cover.
