Yo! Our debut album āCALL TO ACTION!ā is out now. 5 years of hard work went into this and we could not be happier with the result.
Here are the liner notes for the record, written by Allen Xu
@yourbeautifulruin :
It has been five years now since the massive anti-police rebellions and protests of 2020. The spontaneous rebellions, nucleating first at the site of George Floydās murder, then across the nation and the globe, placed front-and-center the irreconcilable contradictions of racial capitalism in the Amerikan psyche. As heart-wrenching images of Black pain and suffering at the hands of the state lingers still in the public consciousness, these antagonisms have become impossible to deny. Amerika, even for all its efforts in quashing radical thought and class consciousness in the proletariat and American left, could not completely stamp out the revolutionary nature of the Black proletariat. As time goes on, it only becomes more and more clear that liberal notions of reform are not a viable path to freedom. Freedom cannot be voted in. Change cannot be built on the spiritually rotten foundations of Amerikan liberal democracy. It is only by uprooting these foundations - that of racial capitalism, neo-colonialism, and imperialism - through socialist revolution, that Black liberation, and hence liberation of all, can be achieved.
This is a CALL TO ACTION.ā
