What appears to some to be a position of fear, certainly can be if that is how you are living. For most of us on this page, I would suspect it comes more from having a healthy respect for the evil of humanity, and in awareness of the world we live in. For me personally, this situational awareness, motivates me to try to address what is within my control and having done so I find peace. Whatever is outside of my control is in the Lord‘s hands and therefore I try not to worry about it. Where I do find fear creeping in is when I’m not confident I have done my job properly. This should be motivation to keep us on our toes as men, as spiritual leaders and protectors, as physical leaders and protectors. God bless y’all and have a great Sunday.

Most of us (that would be likely to follow pages like this) have a plan/provision for if something goes bump in the night. Have you planned for when something goes bump in the daytime? Here’s what I mean: we all think about having a firearm secured near where we sleep, for that unlikely but dreaded night invasion. But bad things happen in daylight too, when we are far less likely to be upstairs or in that wing of the house, far from our defense plan. @stopboxusa makes a very inexpensive, easy to mount means of safely securing a handgun anywhere you can imagine. My only critique is that the case can be difficult to open quickly— the thickness of a single stack pistol and spare mag applies enough internal pressure against the latch, I have learned to apply “closing pressure” to get the latch to release— it seems an additional 1/16”-1/8” thickness would solve this. Regardless, it’s a great budget friendly way to keep defensive tools secure but within reach, just practice opening it regularly to maintain that muscle memory— just like reloads or any other manipulation.
