Turned 34 a month ago but whenever I strap into my board I feel like a kid again. A handful of laps at @ursuscampiglio followed by my good friend and super talented videomaker @mattiacaravello thanks for filming this old fox trying to get some moves back. Big thanks to @sampaoli_marco and @worldrookietour for having me once more as a commentator for the freeski finals. Sometimes you get the project you’ve been building toward your entire career. A year ago I pitched an idea. 365 days later here is my Director’s Cut.
I poured everything into this film. My years as a professional snowboarder. The failures. The small victories. The injuries. The light. The dark. Everything in between.
I never thought a commercial project could mean this much to me. It was a struggle. It was the best time of my life.
Four athletes from this campaign have now won Olympic medals: Flora Tabanelli - Freestyle Ski (Bronze) Sofia Goggia - Alpine Ski (Bronze) Dorothea Wierer - Biathlon (Silver) Arianna Fontana - Short Track (One Gold-Two Silver)
And when they stood on that podium it all came full circle.
My love for winter sports goes beyond competition. Sport taught me everything about life resilience, discipline, humility, vision. Sharing this project is my way of giving back to the athletes and human beings who continue to inspire new generations.
Thank you to the entire team who believed in this vision. Film is teamwork and this one would not exist without you.
And thank you Armani for trusting me. I will be forever grateful.

I often forget how fun snowboarding can be. Getting warmed up and excited to commentate this second part of the winter competition season. I started collaborating more closely with @eurosportitalia this winter after working with this incredible team for three Olympics. (PyeongChang ‘18, Beijing ‘22 and Paris ‘24) Feeling very grateful for this opportunity. Currently commentating mainly the freeski competitions with two amazing rising stars @flo_taba and @miro._.taba . I am also very excited to see the @italiansnowboardteam with @ianmatteoli making historic achievements for Italian snowboarding. Hopefully I will get to commentate it too at some point. I don’t usually talk about snowboarding and my work as a commentator but I feel this could be the moment to share this part of my life. Snowboarding is such a magical sport and has taught me so much in my life. I don’t know maybe some funky new projects might come this way.
