The story of "Wash out”
I am obsessed with finding, collecting and observing time traces and collective traces - traces made by countless people, events and things in different places.
These traces like rust on iron, which is a thin layer that contains countless histories.
I am thinking reversely of ink painting ,to treat the ground as a piece of drawing paper filled with ink, and wash away the ink with water. By removing and washing away the ink, I create a clear line of emptiness, from which the audience can see the original ground at the bottom of the ground. It’s painful inside my heart to wash away the history, part of the traces have been washed away reflects the rest of the history left behind. We hope that the audience will value the history of this place again.
I hope that the artwork can be left in the old places of Hong Kong to experience the time together and to spend time with the people there, and I also hope that the artwork can inspire more people to travel to different old places.
The artworks are located at Nam Shan Estate in Shek Kip Mei and Hing Man Estate in Chai Wan.

Two rounds of “the Rainbow ID” and one round of” Rainbow Grid” are done. 🌈
Our pop-up photo studio was live on the Rainbow platform these past two Sundays. Just wanted to say to everyone who stopped by: ”So glad we met.“
In times like these, reunions and partings happen fast. Sometimes a single encounter is all we get.
It was actually my first time here, too. This journey will be a priceless memory-turned-art by 2028. Knowing there’s an expiry date makes every moment more precious. How can we keep the joy and the memory alive?
Pop Up Playground is a mindset: Play to creat, play to think, and play to __ .
