What an AMAZING weekend in North Carolina! The work we do can sometimes feel daunting. I love working with my community, but between the microagressions and a lack of resources and operational capacity, it can get to you.
This weekend gave me back something I didn’t even realize I was missing. The FIRE! Thank you to the The Collegium for African Diaspora Dance Conference (CADD) @collegiumafricandiasporadance ! It was literally like a family reunion! So many people I haven’t seen in years reconnecting to reinvigorate each other, especially in this time where our voices are intentionally being silenced! Thank you to all of you for pouring into me and for the opportunity to present my research to my people!
