@jaysilvaaa x @tionwayne - "Falling For You" The exteriors involved getting a 1200x up a ladder onto the roof for main key during the rain, with performance shots captured in the very brief window where it let up. Interiors relied on multiple 600c units and a 4x2 litemat for room tone, shape and edges. Had a great time working on this and everyone was a joy to work with. @xo.co.uk - "Candy" Despite how large the space looks on camera, the combination of camera placement and space requirements for dance choreography meant lighting had to simultaneously light talent evenly across frame, provide shape but also provide flattering softness and have a small footprint. Key fixtures were a Litemat 4L boomed far right, a Litemat 2L near right and a double diffused 600c top centre. A 2nd 600c pushed through the back left door as a "daylight" backlight, and for visual interest 2x 1200xs outside on the rear windows. "Call Me Back" - @pete_and_bas x @raggatwinsofficial The pictures sent to me for the phone shop painted the picture of somewhere cramped - but with enough space to hide a few lite panels and tubes. When we got to the shop it was significantly smaller than expected so I had to get creative and squeeze in lights where I could and carefully control the existing light inside the shop to help create depth and shape. @_franhennessyy Fight Announcement Trailer for the Fran Hennessy v Fabiana Bytyqi Bantamweight Title, as seen on @bbctwo & @bbciplayer . This was quite a last minute shoot with extensive collaboration between crew on the day to manufacture the desired look through composition, lighting and atmosphere. "Lovesick" - @xo.co.uk Lighting inside the NQ64 Arcade posed some unique challenges as there was significant mixed colour lighting and spill across the venue. Instead of fighting it, I chose to work with it and motivate hard kicker lights, area accents and the main key off the existing colours present in the venue to provide a more "natural" and less sourcey aesthetic. "My House" - @mre_dn21 The brief for this video was a house party - and we've seen millions of those types of music videos before - so I wanted to create something that would stick and be a little more memorable utilising frozen time VFX, high angles, unique POV shots and intentional lighting design. "Real Friends" - @xo.co.uk With a large space and multiple talent spread throughout frame, it was important to light evenly and prevent hotspots or too much light falloff on either side. Kicked to right of frame as far back as possible was a 12x12 booklight using 2x 1200x's for overall lift and shape, wrapped a little with an overhead soft source and finished with a key-side hard source to provide specular edges and texture to compliment the gritty location.
