Tomorrow I’m heading up to the Cotswolds - one of may favourite parts of the country, to @cornwell_manor for a very special luncheon with @nyetimber and I’m so excited as it really is one of those places that completely steals your heart the second you arrive. What I love so much about Cornwell Manor is that weddings there never feel like just one day because they rarely are. Couples really get to create an entire experience for their loved ones over several days - everyone staying together, long lunches in the gardens, drinks that turn into dinner, dinner that turns into dancing…pool parties…it all feels beautifully relaxed and effortless from beginning to end. And you really don’t want it to ever end… The house itself is unbelievably beautiful. Quintessentially English in every possible way - ivy-covered stone walls, the dreamiest gardens, breathtaking views across the estate and little hidden corners everywhere you look. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and properly soak it all in. Katie & Tom’s wedding there last summer was such a joy to photograph. Their wedding weekend began with the loveliest alfresco dinner in the gardens - long tables, candlelight, amazing food, loads of laughter and that gorgeous feeling of everyone just being fully present together before the wedding day. And then came the sausages 😂 If you know, you know… apparently burying sausages the night before the wedding keeps the rain away. Did we all laugh while doing it? Yes. Andy and Aurora’s ceremony at Cornwell Manor. A winding aisle of late-summer foliage in rich jewel tones led guests through the gardens towards a half-moon ceremony backdrop. Friends and family had travelled from the US to celebrate, and just as the ceremony began the British weather rolled in. Umbrellas appeared along the aisle as the wedding party made their way in, adding an extra sense of atmosphere to an already beautiful moment. Save for your elegant English countryside wedding I had the pleasure of walking through the beautiful @cornwell_manor with @kerrypltr on the most glorious September morning. Cornwell Manor, which you might recognize as the location where Cameron Diaz and Jude Law frolicked in the film The Holiday, is the most beautiful wedding venue in The Cotswolds. With a private chapel, an opulent ballroom which is flooded with natural light, an outdoor pool, views of rolling hills, swans, and accommodations for guests on the grounds, located 1.5hrs from London Heathrow airport, it’s no wonder it’s a popular destination venue for US brides and grooms. My UK family lives under 10 minutes from Cornwell Manor, and it was the most wonderful surprise to find out how close I was while we were visiting. We designed and created a decadent tablescape for Aurora and Andy’s reception, with bowls overflowing with perfectly paired grapes and artichokes, each picking out the jewel tones of the floral arrangements running the length of the tables.  The ceremony space, designed to perfection by @kerrypltr and @vervainflowers , was made even more romantic by our atmospheric British weather. It was magical to see the long aisle and umbrellas add a unique touch as Andy & Aurora embraced every moment.
