Thought it was about time I shared my face on here as it’s been a while!
I’m Emma, the person behind Emerald Paper Design. I started the business 9 years ago when I created stationery for a friend’s wedding and absolutely loved being a small part of their magical day.
Since then I have been lucky enough to create invitations and on the day stationery for so many unique and amazing weddings. My main focus is bespoke watercolour illustrations and hand written modern calligraphy.
As well as creating wedding stationery I also host modern calligraphy workshops, locally (@newbreweryarts@eckingtonmanor@prema_arts ) and online, as well as working with some great companies to create their branding. I’m also very lucky to pop on my elf shoes in the Autumn months for the delightful @polar.post
On a personal level, I’m a Mummy to 2 amazing little girls, Amelia and Ivy, as well as being a cat mum to Max, our first born, who is now 13 years old!

What are you going to include on your wedding tables? It’s worth thinking about what you do and don’t want to have on them as you don’t want the tables to look too busy/full. This is where the menus could double up as placecards too, or the favourite becomes your placesetting. Once you add cutlery, glassware, florals, table names/numbers it is already quite full.

Having launched my first fundraising competition yesterday I thought I would share some painting ideas with you over the next week. For me this invitation ticks all of my favourite boxes. From bespoke venue illustrations, to a custom monogram, followed by copper hot foiling and finished with wax seals and hand calligraphy envelopes. Yes yes yes!

I don’t know why, but I absolutely love using a biro to illustrate with, more so than a pencil or perhaps even paint!
This commission was to be used on a couple’s wedding invitation suite as a gold letterpress detail at the top.
