Bought some Polaroids from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. White suburbia, glorification of guns, exhausted baby boomer mothers, inattentive/apathetic husbands, a culture which viewed male therapy as weakness, the rise of evangelical condemnation, wealth disparities, America’s stain of racism that is only snowballing with time + the underlying violence this country’s foundation was built upon= our current breaking point and a bunch of imagery for these paintings. #sos
