👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Domestic violence has a devastating impact on children, who are also direct victims. As the French National Federation of Women’s Solidarity @solidaritefemmes reminds us, fear, anxiety, and stress affect almost all children exposed, compromising their mental health, safety, and future. On the occasion of the International Day of Families, the Kering Foundation highlights the importance of holistic family support, particularly through parenting assistance, to prevent violence. Empowering parents to build healthy relationships is fundamental to breaking intergenerational cycles of violence. This is why we support key organizations in this field, such as: IT Artemisia supports families who have experienced abuse and violence, notably through parenting programs. @artemisia_centroantiviolenza especially focuses on the mother-child relationship, which is often compromised by the experience of violence. UK The For Baby’s Sake Trust @forbabyssake offers therapeutic support to parents from conception up to the child's second birthday. Their innovative approach helps families heal from trauma and develop essential parenting skills. US Protect Child Abuse America @pcaamerica is a trailblazing organization in child abuse prevention. Through their "Healthy Families America" home visitation program, they offer research-backed support to families, helping them create safe and nurturing environments. Debunking misconceptions about domestic abuse and its impact on babies and infants ❌ Contrary to some beliefs, domestic abuse affects babies long before they are born and has profound and lasting consequences on their development from the earliest years. Recognizing this reality is essential to break cycles of violence. This is why The For Baby’s Sake Trust, a UK organization, offers unique therapeutic support to parents and their babies from pregnancy, acting at the most crucial time for their development. With the support of the Kering Foundation, @forbabyssake has expanded its parenting programs in the North East of England, helping more families build a future free from violence. ⚠️ The digital world has become a major battleground for gender-based violence. Globally, 58% of girls report having experienced online harassment (UN Agency for Digital Technologies) threatening their safety and freedom in digital spaces. In Korea, this reality is particularly striking: 11% of women reported being victims of cyber sexual violence in 2019 (Ministry of Gender Equality and Family). The Korea Cyber Sexual Violence Response Center is at the forefront of this fight. The organization offers crucial legal, psychological, and emotional support to victims to help them rebuild and obtain justice. It actively advocates for legislative reforms to protect women, raises awareness about the dangers of these acts by challenging harmful perceptions, and strengthens solidarity against online gender-based violence. To this effort, the Kering Foundation provides flexible funding to the @kcsvrc_official , aimed at strengthening the organization's strategy and building a safer digital world for all. Debunking common misconceptions about child abuse ❌ Violence against children is often surrounded by false beliefs and prejudices. They minimize the gravity of the issue, obscure crucial warning signs, and undermine a true understanding of reality, which is essential to effectively prevent abuse and protect children. The Kering Foundation supports the National Children’s Alliance, a leading U.S. organization dedicated to the prevention, support, and intervention of child abuse. 👉 Learn more about @natlchildrensalliance through their #ItsYourBusiness page on their website, which brings together resources to help identify and prevent violence against children. #KeringFoundation #NationalChildAbusePreventionMonth

🔎 The defense of women’s rights remains insufficiently supported in French philanthropy, a new study shows This research, commissioned by the Coalition for Feminist Philanthropy and conducted by Agence Phare, identifies the main factors behind the underfunding of gender equality in France. Among them are a gap between words and actions, the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions limiting the development of strategic approaches to gender issues, the influence of conservatism, and a certain “gender fatigue”. This Coalition brings together philanthropic organizations committed to gender equality, including the Kering Foundation. Its main objectives are to build a progressive and feminist movement within French philanthropy, to mobilize more resources in support of gender equality and to encourage data production - notably this study - in order to promote an evidence-based approach to supporting the cause. @_focus2030 @fondationbnpp Fondation CHANEL @fondationdefrance @fondationdesfemmes @fondationmdm_ @fondationrajadm @fondation_endometriose Fonds L’Oréal pour les Femmes Fonds pour les Femmes en Méditerranée @mirovafoundation #KeringFoundation #FeministPhilanthropy #GenderEquality #WomensRights

@nspcc_official uncovers the dangerous « baby blind-spot » leaving the most vulnerable invisible in domestic abuse services This blind spot means babies under two are often excluded from discussions and framework around domestic violence. The term baby is often absent in the linguo of child protection initiatives, which reflects a risk of deprioritising babies’ needs at practice level. As a result, service providers tend to be less aware of babies and focus more on older children and teenagers, which means families with babies at risk are often less visible to professionals. The Kering Foundation supports organizations like @forbabyssake that provide trauma-informed interventions during pregnancy and early childhood, helping break intergenerational cycles of abuse ⛓️‍💥 #KeringFoundation #ChildProtection
