This year I don’t have a 2024 recap of joyus clips. I spent more time navigating a new position and demanding industry that threw me off balance and gave me a couple of grey hairs and tired eyes. There were some lows but also many highs because, with every inch of my heart and soul, I advocate for the preservation of our culture, for our people, for our traditions, and for us to be seen and included in spaces that try to exclude us. One day, I will write a book about the emotional tax of fighting for representation in boardrooms, but what I learned this year was the importance of leaning into my community and asking them for support, encouragement, and upliftment whether through positive video messages or celebrating my 10th anniversary in Grenada. When people try to dim your light, ensure your community is out in the battlefield with the floodlights on! Happy New Year to all my family, friends and followers. I love everyone who gives me the strength to be unapologetic about celebrating the US. šŸŽ„ @renel_p_films

On October 27 I celebrated 10 Years of #GrenadianLife with my people. This enchanting island has become more than just a home—it’s a sanctuary that has warmly embraced me with its vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and the kind-hearted spirit of our people. Over the past ten years, I’ve had the privilege to immerse myself in the rich tapestry of Grenadian life, forging lasting friendships and creating unforgettable memories. It’s a place that has taught me the true meaning of community and the beauty of simplicity. As I reflect on a decade of incredible experiences and personal growth, I’m filled with excitement for all the adventures that still lie ahead in this paradise I’m fortunate to call home. The event was about commemorating the journey, the people who have been part of it, and the contributions I have made as an individual and collaboratively to the creative landscape of Grenada. Thank you to everyone who showed up to join me in celebrating this significant milestone. Here’s to many more years of joy, discovery, and belonging in the beautiful island of @puregrenada . My story in two minutes and 30 seconds. The unheard stories started in the salon chair. I would watch as my parents, two Grenadians who migrated to Britain and became innovators in Afro-Caribbean haircare, treated the scalp and soul of their customers. Their clients would offload like the chaise lounge of a therapist’s office. That is where my fascination with storytelling started. As the resident hair sweeper at the salon, I would eavesdrop, and the stories would later play out in the form of dramatic shoe-box productions led by a cast of Barbie, Ken and friends. It evolved into a love for expressing creative ideas through art, photography, poetry and scrapbooking—which we now call content creation. My curiosity about big people’s business and formative play is etched in my subconscious and has become my secret to building robust content strategies. My Atrium in the heart of Grand Anse, Grenada. I woke up to a light-filled space and a sense of calm, with just the right balance of quiet, focused time to get some work done while watching the bustle of Grenada come to life outside. What I loved most was the ease of it all, the option to step out for dining, grab takeout, or stay in and enjoy a slow morning with coffee made right at home. With a fully equipped kitchen, in-unit laundry, and modern, luxurious amenities, it truly felt like a space designed for both comfort and convenience. My suite, Frangipani, blends sophistication with simplicity. Everything I needed was within easy reach, from supermarkets and pharmacies to some of my favourite spots for shopping, dining, and wellness experiences just a short walk away. And of course, the best kind of Vitamin D, a walk along the white sands of Grand Anse Beach, ending the day with a beautiful sunset and a slice of pizza from a well-loved spot. A stay that brings everything together. The official poster for Call of the Jab. This film began with a simple question about my family’s past. That question turned into a journey back to Grenada with my father, uncovering stories about our culture, our ancestors, and the folklore that shaped the island. Grateful to finally share the poster with you all. Poster by @mikniv #CallOfTheJab #Fatherson #Grenada #CaribbeanHeritage #Documentary

I have so much to give because I have gained an infinite amount of times from the women in my close circle and community. I could include so many more here, but this is the consistent core who show up through every season and version of Kiki. Happy International Women’s Day! #GivetoGain Thanks for the idea @socialmedia_roh @grenadatourismauthority

Once upon a time, I told the story of my love for Grenada. The part I keep sacred is when I fell in love with a Grenadian man šŸ˜. But this video is for Edna Ventour, my Granny. For the last three years after her stroke, she has shown the strongest willpower I have ever witnessed. She was so excited to return to Grenada for our wedding after many years, and recently her health shifted again, with hospital visits that have left her weaker physically, though still sharp in her mind. So I dedicate my engagement announcement to her. If it was not for her, I may not have made my way back home. And if I had not made my way back home, I would not have met my forever love. Many things aligned for me to move, but she was the first spark. Her stories, her land, her pride in where she comes from, and the way she carries Grenada in her spirit shaped me more than I understood at the time. I am her only granddaughter, the one who will carry her legacy forward and tell her story in a way that matters to her. This video honours the land that raised her, the land she still speaks about, and the island that shaped both of us in different generations. I thank God for her sound mind and memory. I pray for her strength daily as we count down to this new chapter, we honor her influence and blessing in our lives. I hope to look as beautiful as you did on your wedding day. #2026Bride Storyteller: Kered Clement Cinematography:@renel_p_films Engagement Gown: @houseofvdv Make-up: @kristina.roslyn.miller Special thanks to Uncle Patrick Ventour, Leon Ventour, Ermine Thomas and all my Grandmother’s cousins.

A throwback in the spirit of all this @bridgertonnetflix Season 4 excitement. My kinda carrying on. How lucky are we to have our own scandal-free version in Grenada because of our amazing girlfriend Koko. The most thoughtful sweetheart, Chief Baker @muffintopgda who blessed us with a perfectly curated tea party straight out of Lady Whistledown’s dreams. Here’s to my Grenada family, my favorite girlies @irie.kingston @leshiph and Cyndica, the homebodies, wives, and mamas who ain’t about the gram and make me belly-laugh and soften my nervous system. To their devoted husbands and my friends (aka the help in this reel) who bring no scandal into our lives. And to me, the parentless friend who documents everything so we can laugh at ourselves when we’re old and grey. I miss the era of social media where you just post for random vibes. I think I’ll continue my Joy Chronicles series from Christmas.
