I’ve always wanted to try Grenada’s national dish, Oildown, and not only did I get to taste it, but I also made it with a local chef in Grenada! ❤️🙌🏾 This was, hands down, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had on vacation.
Chef Kennedy at @hhgrenada welcomed my mother and I into his lovely home. Our afternoon kicked off with making fish cakes, which were absolutely delicious and so easy to prepare. Then, I crafted a rum punch with the perfect blend of tropical flavors and local rum. After preparing the Oildown, we toured Chef Kennedy’s beautiful garden, smelling various local spices and tasting fresh fruits along the way. The evening was magical and unforgettable. This tour is an absolute must do!

Just wrapped up our Grenada trip with an unforgettable day at @hhgrenada , thanks to the amazing Chef Kennedy! He’s not just a chef; he’s a culinary storyteller deeply rooted in Grenadian traditions. In his kitchen, we learned to make fish fritters, roti, and the most flavorful curry chicken and fish. 🍛
Strolling through his garden was like exploring nature’s pantry, each fruit and vegetable more tantalizing than the last - starfruit, golden apples, guavas, you name it. It was a vivid reminder of the island’s lush abundance!

This Easter we got to spend the day with the folks at @hhgrenada , such an amazing experience, great food, fun and conversations ooo and not forgetting that rum punch !!!!! Omg!!! We had a few courses of meals then went on to kite making ,then my favorite “kite flying”. Once in Grenada this is a must do!!!! 🙂🥳🥤🇬🇩 🍲
