Those close to me know I tend to hide from the limelight on my birthday.
My 35th orbit around the sun proved to be quite turbulent. It seems like a good day to put my personal heroes, who carried me through the year, in the spotlight.
From my parents who stand by day and night to help with any matter, gathering a team of medical specialists around me and transporting me all over the country and abroad to get my therapies and picking up the bill with a smile, to my team and dear friends in the film industry who have kept the light on by getting my gear out every chance they get and who on a personal level are just plainly amazing BFFs.
It's a heart-warming and humbling experience of having so many friends, new, old and ancient, checking in on me. At such a rate that I hear from someone almost every day. Keeping me in the loop of life and fanning the fire.
It's easier facing the challenges of the day when everyone has got your back.
So thank you to everyone near and sometimes very, very far. I'm still here. Still kicking long covid's butt. Ready for round two.

A lovely first excursion to Italy this year with the wonderful 📸 @lievendirckx .
A fully controlled lighting setup whilest not blowing up the budget. Using 4 high powered moving heads making all shapes and fades on our 20x20 ultra bounce fabric on top.
On the ground we had some small lights on wheels to shape the models. Couple of Skypanel s360's and litemat spectrums.
Quite happy with the result and the client was all smiles.
