Twenty years ago, I set out to open a restaurant in the South End that captured everything I loved about Spanish dining culture—the energy, the vibrancy, the bold flavors, and the sense of togetherness. Back in 2005, it was a risk; tapas-style dining was still unfamiliar to many. But I believed in the concept, and I was fortunate to be in a city that embraced the vision and welcomed the party. For the past two decades, we’ve been bringing a taste of Spain’s spirit to Boston. Milestones like this are built on years of dedication from incredible teams—every dishwasher, manager, support staff member, cook, chef, bartender, server, and host who has been part of this journey. My gratitude for you all is beyond words but holy hell am I grateful you were a part of our story. We are also endlessly grateful to our guests, who continue to show up and celebrate with us day after day, month after month, year after year. I only wish I could thank each of you personally for supporting Toro. 1704 Washington Street will always hold a very special place in my heart. Let’s raise a porron to the next 20!

To the person that I owe everything to, my Mom! She taught me to be a fighter, feisty, to value Family above everything. The importance of being independent, acceptance of anyone and everyone, a love for uni, Willie Nelson, oysters, hot dogs, caviar and an overall passion for food that would become my lifeblood. The ultimate GIRL DINNER 🍝✨ at @facciaboston by @kenoringer — aka my favorite chef in Boston. Every single pasta dish here is unreal… perfectly cooked, insanely flavorful, and made with so much love. Truly some of the best pasta around — no notes. If you’re a pasta girlie, this spot is a MUST. 🤍🍷

What an honor to be in the room tonight! Seeing Toro make the Michelin recommended list is surreal. I love that restaurant so much — for how it started and for where it is now, almost 20 years later. It was the spark that lit everything we’ve built since. This team consistently blows me away with the delicious food they put out and the care they show our incredible guests night after night. And so much gratitude for my constant rocks: my partners and my management teams. What a dream squad!! Let’s keep this party going for another two decades!
