The power to create beauty out of so much pain. 🖤 Endlessly proud of @timothy_lamb_art for Dream House, his show at @face.guts . It felt vulnerable to see this version of our story on the walls, being able to pinpoint the inspiration behind every piece. THANK YOU to everyone who came to support at the opening reception, from near and far. And thank you @tbiskup for immediately understanding and supporting this body of work. There are still a few pieces available—you can see the show in person in Los Angeles until April 25 or view it online at faceguts.com.

A few more from our Sunday at the Oscars because the truth is that life over the last 15 months has been challenging on even the best days. So man-oh-man did we have fun getting dressed up and disassociating for a day. @timothy_lamb_art in the tux, give me a break!! 😍😍 We drank expensive champagne and we felt fabulous and we agreed that Leo is quite handsome in person and Jessie’s dress was perfect and I shed a tear during the Diane Keaton tribute! We asked a dozen people to take our photo because it was so special.

ON NEWSSTANDS NOW: Our Spring 2026 issue! For the first time, the Rebel Homemaker AKA the iconic @drewbarrymore opens the doors to her own home. Here’s a snippet from our Editor in Chief, @kellilamb_ : The shift from winter to spring is at first subtle, and then suddenly, undeniable. Foliage returns quietly, with morning dew catching the light atop fresh green buds. The trees begin to bloom, with pale pink and soft whites dotting the landscape. Then—poof!—everything feels alive again. Vibrant, layered, and in full expression. To me, beautifully designed homes come together the same way. Slowly, thoughtfully, and with intention, until it seems that one day they’ve always existed just as they are. Perfectly curated and deeply personal, these are the interiors that spark joy and curiosity—and they are the homes I’m always most eager to share with you. This issue is no exception, with that ethos wonderfully represented in the home of actress and TV host @drewbarrymore . Stepping into her house in Upstate New York, the first thing I noticed was the art. Every piece tells a meaningful part of her story and represents a lifetime of collecting. Drew didn’t buy this house, hire a decorator, and fill it with all-new everything. She brought her art; she brought the furniture she’s had for decades—refreshing it with new upholstery. And she experimented with paint colors, again and again. The house slowly revealed itself to her through the seasons, and it’s an honor for us to reveal it to you within our pages. Other designers featured in this issue share this same approach—Angela Wheeler of @buildingwalnutfarm just north of Toronto, @katie.leclercq in Washington state—fearlessly updating what they once deemed “perfect.” As we move into a new season, let’s embrace this idea: A house should never be “done,” but rather grow and change alongside us. We hope you enjoy each and every page. On newsstands now!

Most of you know that after the fire, my husband @timothy_lamb_art and I were in a state of shock. Neither of us really remember deciding to go to Idaho, but it seemed like the only answer at the time. We had to get out of Los Angeles, to stop breathing the smoke and ash of our previous lives. We settled into McCall just before a massive snowstorm hit, and slowly began to understand and accept what had actually happened in Altadena. And as the weeks passed, we both slowly began to grieve. One morning, I woke up to a series of drawings on the dining table. They were haunting and emotional and heavy and beautiful. Tim had stayed up all night working on them, explaining that he wasn’t really sure but had to “get them out of his system.” He chose charcoal because it’s what had been donated to him after losing all of his supplies. Using charcoal when the subject matter is the aftermath of a fire is surreal and beautiful in itself. Over the last year, I have watched my husband create dozens of these drawings. The show will feature 19 pieces and debut at @face.guts in Los Angeles on March 28, officially “out of his system” and into the world. I am so proud that he was able to create so much beauty out of his pain and grateful to @tbiskup for championing his work. I hope you’ll join the opening reception or view it at the gallery March 28 - April 25. I’ll save the link in my bio for more information!

One year ago, we walked out our front door for the last time with little more than an overnight bag. Less than twelve hours later, in the early hours of January 8, our house and everything in it was gone. Our next door neighbor called Tim as the fire took hold between our two properties. Simultaneously, the ADT app on my phone alerted me room by room that the home we loved was burning to the ground. 2025 was the Year of the Snake—shedding the old for something new—but we didn’t expect it to be so literal. We not only lost all of our material possessions, but previous versions of ourselves disappeared too. I’ve posted a lot about the loss, but looking back at the year, it’s all about the joy that coexisted alongside so much sorrow. Grief hardened us, and our steadfast community of friends and family and colleagues softened every edge. Our relationships are the only thing that matter. Choose your partner like your life depends on it—I would not have survived without @timothy_lamb_art . And embrace your village. For us, a community assembled, donating money and clothes and housing and making sure we had food (and remembered to eat). Thoughtful gifts arrived from friends across the globe. We continue to be so humbled by the outpouring of support. We initially had so much shame to find ourselves in need but are forever changed by what followed. We will be paying it forward for the rest of our lives. We made it through the year. Today, we find ourselves held up by people who weren’t afraid of our grief but embraced us at every stage, through every emotion, through every milestone. The Year of the Snake was a kick in the teeth but paved the way for a more meaningful future.

The end of 2025 felt especially poignant, so Sea Ranch was the only place to be!! It feels the most like home and we were grateful to share it with friends that feel like family. Add in several orders from Upper Crust, a visit to @bannerdayinteriors gorgeous home, a few books read + sketchbook pages filled, two power outages, a couple of meditative moments at my favorite rock, and relief to begin 2026 with a sense of peace and a glimmer of optimism. Can’t wait to see what the new year will bring and what our lives will look like 365 days from now.

When I close my eyes, our house is just as we left it nearly one year ago—a perfectly preserved place in the world that we could call our own. Before the Eaton Fire, I used social media to share the design of our home, but it was the life we had within that home that is the greatest loss. Our house set the stage for great celebrations and its walls embraced us during chapters of grief and sorrow. It was a symbol of hard work, and of love. Whenever I returned from a trip, I would stand barefoot in the grass, reconnecting to the place that meant the most to me. It has taken me almost the entire year to make this video, but I wanted to honor what was. To honor the pride we felt in owning a home and carefully making it our own. To honor the joy we experienced there. And most of all, to remind myself of what we created and reinforce the fact that we can do it again. We love you Altadena and can’t wait to come home. ❤️‍🩹
