Good news for my creative brain, i'm going to have lots more free time to get back into drawing. Bad news for my bank account, i quit my job and have welcome instability despite all internet forums telling me to stay in my job as much as it pains me.
Spent 3 weeks in jingdezhen, made a bunch of wonky lamps and some other stuff with the most amazing friends and teachers. Definitely one of the best and most interesting trips of my life 🥹💕😭
given that ive only ever made mugs and small sculptures, i will forgive myself for how wonky the lamps turned out. I still love them but TIL circular things with open bases should be fired with slabs that have tracks. Brb while i figure out what to do with these 6/7 of these guys 🙂↕️👀💭

I sculpted this little guy over a long period of time, then broke its ear off three times, and have accepted that it will never make it to the kiln… but im emotionally attached to bone dry clay so it will sit on my desk like this forever 🫶🐶

I'm going to document and post the stuff i made for the market in the next couple of days. Thank you to everyone that supported me, and purchased items. I don't know why I'm shocked that people would buy art at an art market, but I'm still shocked, and feel really motivated to keep creating 💙🥹🫶
