May your soul rest now amongst the stars, in which it burns bright and magnificent. You knew only love and your spirit brought everyone together where ever you were. The sunrises and sunsets will always burn a little brighter now with you amoung them. But the world is a lot more empty without you in it. Your absence brings pain and heartache to all who had the honor of knowing you. And the pain leaves a hole in our hearts forever. We will always remember the lessons you taught us about life and love and we strive to uphold the standard of character that you set forth. You were an amazing musician, a truly caring friend, and a monumental pillar of the community.
As a band we were a family of 5 and will always be a family of 5. Your burning spirit is now amongst the universe.

I had to dig through my hard drive to find images for a grant I’m working on and stumbled across these. I remember not being happy with how these specific shots turned out, but as I went through them I really enjoyed the oddity that occurs with using expired film and the unique colours here so I decided to revisit these two years later
A couple of these appear unedited in the original Sound & Sight book, and the bright orange shot of Adrie I actually cut up the negative and intentionally set it on fire to create a different piece that appears in the new edition of Sound & Sight

Sound & Sight ’24 - Reissue Edition is a special reissue of the original publication, created in memory of Adrienne Mahoney.
This edition revisits the book’s initial cover concept, featuring Adrienne on the cover, and expands the original release with new material made specifically for this edition. Included are collage works built from some of my favourite photographs I took of Adrienne, alongside images contributed by her bandmates.
Sound & Sight ‘24 is a visual archive of a transformative year documenting Saskatchewan’s music scene, capturing the energy of over 70 shows and the community behind them. This reissue exists as both a continuation of the original book and a dedication - honouring Adrienne’s presence, creativity and lasting impact on our scene and on my art.
In honour of Adrienne’s memory, 50% of the earnings from this book will be donated to the University Hospital Foundation, supporting the Mazankowski Alberta Heart Institute in Edmonton.
