Confidence crisis is an online event for the dreamer who may be afraid to take action and fail, the visionary who thinks their ideas aren’t good enough, the leader who feels like there’s no space for them in the rooms they want to be in and the high achiever who is having a hard time walking in the reality that they are killing it and deserve everything that they’ve accomplished. I’m confident that Hope (Tedx speaker) and I will leave you with gems and inspired and encouraged. The level of self doubt I’ve overcome to reach where I am in life is almost insane, I’ve had many dark days where I felt like a complete failure but better days came. I’ve been winning since I knew myself, as a young kid in kindergarten being one of the fastest, to achieving good grades in high school, a university degree and success in business and my career, yet still none of that was enough to give me the confidence that my big goals were achievable. One of the biggest things that gave me confidence was simply doing the things, starting small, starting quickly, failing fast, starting ugly lol. That’s really what Overcome 2025 is, the vision for this is HUGE, kinda like @investfestival @theshyftconference @ownbahamas but I had to build the confidence to start with what I had and grow. I’ve finally failed enough to know that I have what it takes to accomplish anything I set out to. The past few months have been crazy busy and I’m just grateful to be alive, healthy, and doing what I love every single day. Last night I had the opportunity to speak in front of the Prime Minister of The Bahamas for the first time at the Agrarian Awards, a national celebration honoring the hardworking farmers who keep our nation fed and moving toward food security. I had the honor of presenting the Backyard Farmer of the Year (People’s Choice) award, a social media based award that allowed the Bahamian people to choose the farmer they felt best represented the spirit of community, consistency, and growth in agriculture. The winner of the category was 7-year-old Chosen Darville, a young farmer already inspiring others with his dedication and love for agriculture. This moment meant even more because I was part of the planning committee for the event and helped produce a mini documentary alongside @1var.l and @itsleahanise , highlighting the stories and impact of our farmers. A huge thank you to Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, Hon. @jomoccampbell , and the @moamrbahamas team for trusting me with this opportunity, and to Kendea Smith @kendeakommunicates , Chairwoman of the Agrarian Awards Board, for her leadership and the opportunity to be part of this incredible event. A huge congratulations to Forester Bowe, Emerald Pioneer Awardee, Pericles Maillis, Lifetime Achievement Award Winner, @abaconeemfarm for Commercial Farm of the Year, and Ceon Newbold, Youth Farmer of the Year. I learned so much and I’m grateful for the opportunity to produce content with and for our nation’s agricultural sector. Farmers are truly amazing people who are always sharing value, knowledge, and kindness. I also had the privilege of meeting @aishabowe , the first person of Bahamian heritage to reach space, a true inspiration for dreamers and doers across our islands.
