One day you’ll listen to that little voice inside of you that still dreams and it’s very important you listen to it.
I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker since I was 4 years old but I always let things like fear, “budget”, and time stop me. But one day I woke up to myself and decided to stop making excuses.
This by no means was an easy feat to try to accomplish, in fact it was very ambitious for my first feature. Limits were tested and everyone was pushed to capacity at times. But because of the amazing people that selflessly gave themselves to this project because they believe in me and this story, it is getting made. 🩵
I am forever grateful to these hardworking professionals who have invested into me. I love each of you so much.
I put so much of young Rebekah into this story—the one who fought depression, the one who lost her first mother figure, and the one who had to learn to trust herself and overcome self doubt. The Road that Holds Us is an exploration of love, life, acceptance, and learning to trust oneself. I can’t wait for you all to see it. 🩵

A year ago, my life completely flipped upside down. But I wanted to see what would happen if I treated myself as my own best friend—if I truly believed in my own worth and, for once, put my soul first after a lifetime of living for others.
The road here wasn’t easy. It was paved with heartache, betrayal, and months of rebuilding my life from the ground up, including the move back to the US. I had to say goodbye to a life I thought I’d have and a version of myself I feared I’d never see reach fruition. I’m grateful to have lived in Italy for the last two years, I discovered new parts of myself which will stay with me forever. Sometimes when we think everything is falling apart, it’s really falling into place.
I had to reconstruct my entire life, learn how to smile at the small things again. But slowly things got better.
I’ve wanted to be a filmmaker since I was four years old, when watching movies every day with my aunt became my sanctuary. After years of putting my dreams on the back burner, I am finally stepping out in faith. This last year I was crushed, but in that breaking, I traveled more than I ever have, surfed more waves, and made more moves toward my career than ever before. Sometimes, we have to be completely undone to discover the strength we are actually made of.
Through the years, I’ve found one singular truth: tutto passa. Nothing is permanent. Not the pain, and not the joy—so I’ve decided to savor every bit of it. The highs, the lows, and everything in between. I am more alive today than ever because I am finally protecting my heart and honoring my passions.
I’m Rebekah, and I’m making my first feature film. I’ll surf more waves. I’ll see more countries. I will make art that matters to my soul and make life beautiful. I’m keeping my promise to my Aunt Mary to live to the fullest and stay true to myself, always.
This one is for you, Aunt Mary. And for little Rebekah. We’re doing it.
