What makes this evening especially meaningful is that along this journey of making this film, both The Soil Remembers and Taylor’s work became recognized on a national stage through 2026 James Beard Award nominations (@beardfoundation ). Opportunities to experience both the film and the food that inspired this story together under one roof are rare — and this evening was designed to be exactly that. Then on June 28th, we’ll gather at @highlandbrewing for a community celebration and screening. This gathering is especially meaningful as we come together to honor our neighbors and friends who endured Hurricane Helene, celebrating the strength, perseverance, and spirit of our community. The evening will also serve as a chance to celebrate this season of recognition together back home in Asheville — surrounded by the very community that helped shape this story from the beginning.
