I feel so grateful to be sharpened every day on the road by the musical and vocal excellence surrounding me, and it’s been very special to be a part of shows that often feel so communal.
@marioncowingsmusic said to a jazz class I once attended that “our job as musicians is to help people remember their better nature”. Sadly, I had somewhat lost sight of that purpose for awhile. Now more than ever though, I hope that music can continue to remind us all of the better people we can be, both to one another and to ourselves, especially in light of the increasingly dystopian reality we find ourselves living in today.
