🔅🔆RESSURECT IN LIGHT🔆🔅 Over the past 2 months I secretly turned the infamous @tadao_ando_architecture Malibu home into my personal open air art studio. I partnered with my good friend and owner @belwoodbo of @belwoodinvestments to breathe new light into the living sculpture that @ye bought for 57MM and proceeded to take it apart piece by piece.
When I arrived in Malibu I found not only a home in desperate need to rehab but also an entire city devastated by the fires. Surrounded by destruction I chose to use my art to not only rebuild these structures but rebuild myself using inspiration of light that crept through the cracks of the Tadao designed home.
Inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese artform of repairing broken pottery by embracing the scars and accenting them with gold, I collected sand from the beaches and ashes from the fire and mixed them into my paints.
During this time I met with @malibumayormom@haylynnformalibu who inspired me to use this platform and artwork to benefit @cityofmalibu and @malibuurgentcare
I arranged with @scopeartshow to host this body of work at this years @miamiartweek where the work created inside the Tadao home will be featured as well as a special 5000 square foot mural outside of the fair sponsored by @greyven.ltd and a collaboration with @propadelleague

It is with great honor to announce a new project this weekend with FRIENDS OF MALIBU URGENT CARE. 🏥 After a long fundraising period we have secured and are ready to break ground on the new property adjacent to the existing urgent care (the old infamous Malibu post office )
To make this groundbreaking ceremony even more special I have teamed up with Dr. Katz and Feiends of Malibu Urgent Care to launch a new community driven project “THE INFINITE OCEAN” which will ask attendees to write a special note about what they love about the ocean.
This note will be digitized and mixed with all the other notes and transformed into a complex visual pattern that will serve as the base layer for a painting made with my special “ONE OCEAN” paint that is made infusing ocean water and sand from around the globe.
This piece will exist in the upcoming MRI room and serve as a testament of love and embody the calmness of the ocean and a reminder that we all are one and overcome anything.
