ANNOUNCEMENT: I’ve started a new podcast! My work over the last several years has brought me to a place where thoughts and ideas are simply bursting from my mind and it’s time to share.
Motherhood in America is exactly as it sounds. I’ll be exploring the ins and outs of the pursuit and experience of motherhood in this country. I plan to interview friends and experts on various topics, share solo episodes with my own thoughts and experiences, and I’m currently sharing “legacy episodes” from the former Holistic Fertility and Wellness Podcast.
You can find Motherhood in America on Spotify and YouTube and in collaboration with @kcbctv . Listen to the first re-released legacy episode now and be on the lookout for fresh episodes in the next few weeks!

KCBCtv is proud to announce the long awaited podcast release from Kansas & Missouri Licensed Clinical Marriage & Family Therapist, Stephanie Risinger!
Stephanie is a mental health professional with over 16 years of experience teaching, counseling, and working with a diverse population. She has especially been focused on helping women before, during, and after pregnancy.
Though this is her first podcast endeavor focusing on motherhood, she is not new to the podcasting game.
She hosted the Holistic Fertility and Wellness Podcast back in 2016-2017, when she was going through infertility challenges herself. During that podcast run, she interviewed people all over the world who specialized in maternal mental health, fertility, postpartum, and all things related.
She hand-selected a few episodes from that era. The first one is available now on MHIA’s Spotify and YouTube channels. We are working on the launch of the Apple Podcast channel, so Apple listeners stay tuned.
Motherhood in America will be launching brand new video episodes soon in 2025. For now, enjoy the weekly release of legacy audio-only episodes!

Episode 87 is out!
Are you a @bush / @gavinrossdale fan? I sure as heck am.
Learned how to play my first riff, from “Glycerine”, almost 32 years ago.
That would lead me into loving guitar, learning how to play more songs and eventually write my own music, record albums, and tour myself.
This is a good little 15 minute episode about what I learned from seeing Bush on my birthday recently here at @azuraamp with @stephanie.risinger .
One of the best live performances I’ve seen, and one of the strongest reminders about leadership to ground me.

“There is always an opportunity to lead…”
Brian Green is a servant leader and never wastes a perfectly good lesson or opportunity to learn.
Be on the look out for opportunities to serve and lead, and you will find them. Sometimes they find you, as we discussed in episode 84.
Find the full episode on KCBC’s Spotify, Apple, or YouTube channels.

Brian Green of Total Hifi Experience is a DAY ONE KCBC supporter and I am honored to have him on the show as the first California-based guest to come on the podcast.
It was awesome talking to him about the audio industry, the power of listening to music on sophisticated systems, and involving families in hobbies together.
Means the world to me to hear him affirm what we started with KCBC and how he has noticed the community we’ve participating in with the launch and consistent action within this podcast.
If you want to engage with your local community at a higher level, all you need is a phone and good conversations.
Check out Ep 84 on our YouTube, Apple, and Spotify channels.
“Ordinary People; extraordinary conversations.”

In this new solo episode I touch on the problem of judging people based on sound bites and quotes taken out of context. Watch and/or listen on YouTube and Spotify.
Brian Green joins KCBC as our first guest not residing in Kansas City and a living example that the reach of this podcast is not limited by city borders.
Learn about his journey from attendee to ambassador for @totalhifiexperience , an organization bringing enthusiasts, vendors, and families into incredible audio experiences. It was fascinating learning about this on the episode!
This episode is available on KCBC’s YouTube, Spotify, and Apple channels.

Regardless of your input or opinion, people’s perceptions and perspectives are their reality.
A reality you don’t operate in.
So grace, understanding, and listening with intent are absolutely paramount when supporting a friend or family member who no longer wants to exist.

Casey McBroom joins Michael Risinger on KCBC for the second time. But this time, we’re unpacking one of the most painful, deepest and darkest forms of trauma.
If there were ever an episode in this podcast’s 83 episode history to share, this would be it.
