“Kū I Ka Pono” honors Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop — her love for her people, her faith in ke Akua, and the legacy she left for the lāhui. At a time when her legacy and the very mission she established are being challenged, this song is a reminder to stand in righteousness — to walk in faith, unity, and aloha for generations to come. Written and performed by: Barrett Awai, Kamaka Camarillo, and Kala’e Camarillo Featuring: Layla Camarillo and Ezekiel Kekuna Engineer/Producer: Imua Garza #KuIKaPono #Pauahi #HawaiianMusic #Lāhui #Ea

Being born and raised in Maui, Lahaina always held a special place in my heart. This song was written out of love with the intention of shining light and providing hope for the people of Lahaina. “Sands of Old Lahaina” is now available on all digital media outlets. Mahalo @nikkim808 for helping to film/edit this video and mahalo to @imuagarza for helping me record this song 🙏 #sandsofoldlahaina #mauistrong #shewillrise#sandsofoldlahaina #mauistrong #shewillrise #mele4maui @kakoo_haleakala @mana_maoli

It was an honor getting to perform for the #legend Uncle Nappy Pulawa’s 90th birthday! Was also cool getting to sing Old Kīhei with @robikahakalaumusic for @therock after he posted our song last month. Mahalo for having us! #mauinokaoi

Being a Kumu here at Kamehameha Middle School along side my brother Kala’e has been nothing but a blessing for me. These couple of months have been really busy for the Kumus and especially the kids with finals, projects, hoikes, musicals, etc. so I wanted to help lighten the load for just a bit and surprise the staff and the kids with my Jream Team brews, Josh and Peps, at our morning Piko. The boys even came to our first period to jam, answer questions, and give some words of advice. Thank you so much my brews! Really means a lot you guys! To have both of my worlds collide to create something positive for everyone just makes me so grateful and happy. Love my Kamehameha fam and my Jream Team brews! FOR THE LAHUI! 🙌

So grateful for @joshtatofimusic @laupepamusic @trizavmusic #KumuTrav for surprising our school and treating our class with a private concert/talk story sesh. The time, encouragement, and music you shared with these students will stay with them for years to come. Mahalo for blessing us and pouring into the next gen 🤙🏼

There is a reason our Kanikapila is so sweet. It’s because they would do this all day if we let them. At lunch recess, a Kanikapila station is set up for haumāna to play music and sing, EVERY DAY. Thank you Uncle Steve for always providing opportunity for haumāna and Kumu. These boys are 7th graders. Just getting started! Chee Hoo!

Proud of our 7th and 8th grade haumāna for sharing their gifts at our Spring Hōʻike small stage performances. It was great getting to showcase even more of our amazingly talented students by incorporating smaller stages throughout the evening. Mahalo to all the haumāna, kumu, and ʻohana for making it such a special celebration of music and learning. More videos to come! #KaniAKaPahu @kani_a_ka_pahu
