We want to start by thanking all of you for the condolences, tributes, artwork and messages you have shared in memory of Ken Block these past few months. It has been beautiful to see the wave of support during these impossible times for his family and friends.
We plan to continue this account as a tribute to Ken’s life: sharing photos and videos from over the years, as well as sharing the things you have and continue to share about him. We will also keep you updated on the family racing efforts, starting with Lia and Lucy, both here and on their race team account @blockhouseracing .
In addition, we have started a foundation in Ken’s name: it’s called the @43institute . The foundation exists to carry on Ken Block’s greatest legacy: creating paths of opportunity for exceptionally driven people, who may lack the proper support system for growth and success.

One year ago, People’s Champ: The Impact of Ken Block launched.
It was the largest project we have ever taken on. Months of preparation. Gathering memorabilia. Transporting cars from across the country. Bringing the full story together in one place.
The exhibit celebrated Ken’s impact. Not only as a driver, but as a mentor, collaborator, and force for opportunity.
That same spirit drives 43i. Preserve the legacy. Create access. Open doors for the next generation.
It remains one of our favorite projects to date.
What should we do next?
Trip down memory lane to @rallysweden 2011, when Ken and @alexgelsomino sent the biggest jump of the season on Colin’s Crest, a massive 36-meter jump, 118.11 feet.
Colin’s Crest honors Colin McCrae, and every year it delivers a true spectacle. This run stands out even more knowing it was the first rally Ken drove his 2011 WRC Ford Fiesta, and he set the record with almost no seat time in the car.

@snodriftrally starts today, so we’re throwing it back to @kblock43 shredding the snow over the years. He didn’t run it every season, but when he did, he put on an AWSM show!
That same flat-out style is what inspired 43i’s Ken Block Flat Out 43VER Award, recognizing the grit, teamwork, and determination that make rally so special.

2016 was a MAJOR year for @kblock43 and the HRD crew. We kicked the year off with Gymkhana EIGHT in Dubai, Ken became a factory driver for Ford in the FIA World Rallycross Championship with the Focus RS RX, we filmed a video with Top Gear and @mleblanc in London with the Hoonicorn, gave the Hoonicorn twin turbos to get it ready for Pikes Peak, filmed and launched Gymkhana NINE, and had a whole lot of fun with everything else in between. Unreal run.
