Earlier today at the barber shop, a young man from a PDP governed state said expressly that Governor Sanwo-Olu hasn't done anything in office.
Shocked, I asked if the Universities in his home state joined the protracted ASUU strike in 2022. He said, "yes." When I told him that Lagos State University, Ojo and other state-owned higher institutions didn't join the strike for a day due to Governor Sanwo-olu's leadership skills and foresight of his Education management team led by Tokunbo Wahab, he found it hard to believe. A simple online search cleared his doubts. And the Polytechnic and Colleges of Education were upgraded to universities (All under four years).
There are many doubters like this guy out there. Quick to pooh-pooh Sanwo-Olu's landmark achievements in 4 years while their home state governors can't point at any tangible achievements after 4 or 8 years in office.
Let’s give Sanwo-Olu his garlands. He has done well and he will do more.
I've compiled a list of Sanwo-olu's achievements after four years in office. Suffice to say most governors can't achieve same in 8 years.
