Love builds the muscles we need to withstand and swim through loss and grief. Every birdsong now is exquisite. Every sweet moment more precious. Memories of her sweet face and wagging tail. Knowing she's at peace is a balm.
We are bereft. Grateful to have been her people, her pack.
The river of grief takes us and reminds us how to swim and ride its waves, its endless waves.

I got to be part of the largest US crowd to ever watch a women’s hockey game — and it was a professional game too @thepwhlofficial . Tonight at Madison Square Garden @madsqparknyc , I was 1 of 18,006 — a sold out crowd! We watched the New York Sirens @pwhl_sirens tie the Seattle Torrent @pwhl_torrent , play OT, and then win during a penalty shoot-out. I’d never seen a hockey shoot-out before either. Go Sirens!
The ice was crowded with Olympians from several countries on both teams, including US Team Captain Hilary Knight @hilaryknight . And the No. 1 Star of the Game was NY Siren Sarah Fillier @sarahfillier16 , a Gold Medal Winner as part of the Canadian Olympic Team.
