Standing in the real East High, 20 years later, with one of the original High School Musical choreographers, the incredible Bonnie Story, alongside my case mates Bayli and Roeā¦ dancing to Weāre All In This Together in the place where it all beganāitās hard to put into words what this felt like.
Looking out and seeing generations of fansāparents, kids, and even little ones discovering it for the first timeāall learning the same moves Bonnie taught back thenā¦ it was like time folded in on itself. The energy, the joy, the connectionāitās still there. It never left.
When East High reached out for their fundraiser and Bonnie called, there was no question. Wildcats show up. Always ā¤ļø
This experience brought back so muchāgratitude for where it all started, for the people who made it so special, and for the fans who have kept this story alive across generations. To feel that love, in that place, all over againā¦ unforgettable.

There was a time when my girls were littleā¦
and they asked, āMom, can we wear matching dresses?ā
I searched everywhereā¦
but nothing included me.
And instead of just saying yes,
I had to have a conversation I wasnāt ready forā¦
about body sizesā¦
about why mommy couldnāt match them.
That not everybody included mommy.
It broke my heart.
Fast forward to nowā¦
at a mommy-and-me tea party with my little Lettieā
both of us feeling beautiful in our matching dresses.
And this time, I didnāt have to explain anything.
I just got to show herā¦
That every body is worthy.
That beauty isnāt one size.
