Through every note and every story, we were reminded that music isn’t just something we listen to—it’s something that moves people, shifts perspectives, and brings us together. Bassel, a Syrian-American artist, shared more than a performance… he shared truth, culture, and connection in a way that felt deeply needed in today’s world.
What made this experience even more special was seeing that impact ripple into our community—especially with our keiki. Mahalo to the band for showing up at Kapa‘a Middle School and pouring into the next generation through music, storytelling, and inspiration. That’s the kind of change that lasts.
This is why we do what we do at KCA—expanding cultural awareness on island and creating space for connection, understanding, and growth through the arts.
