This is home. Bikes have never been better and it’s never been more fun to ride some of the Lake Tahoe classics. So much more confident ripping some of these trails than when I started on a hardtail way back in the day. 😬 #specializedepicevo #ridefox #shimanomtb #maxxistires #velocioapparel #laketahoe 📽 Džefík Production

Race mode engaged. Last weekend was the 3rd edition of @thehaulback , XC’s Marathon with a DH timed segment race in Squamish. Awesome technical trails and an event put on by great people. I made a winning move mid-race and was flying to get to the finish when I encountered a 🐻 on the trail. This bear decided to run down the trail and actually kept a decent pace. I stayed about 15 meters behind and didn’t even consider getting closer. I was a little worried about being caught from behind and so I was thrilled when the bear finally decided to get off the trail and I could let go of the brakes and get to the finish in first place. What a show and my first time racing with a bear. BC style MTB bike racing is awesome and I’m quite happy to be here and preparing for the final edition of the 7 day @bcbikerace in May. 1-5 pics by @joelducrot Thank you 😊 #iamspecialized #ridefox #rideshimano #iplaymud🦆

Q1 in pictures. Lot of amazing places and time with my peeps. I’m really enjoying this part of life. Good winter for bikes and some skiing. Mom’s 70th birthday celebration and herring spawn on Hornby Island were the big events of 2026 so far. Thankful for time in California, Czech and Canada. I’m really turning into citizen of the world. That is my answer whenever someone asks me where I’m from. 😉😎🤩

Couple of weekends of awesome local MTB racing and plenty of reminders that MTB racing is hard. Small women’s fields in both races, which makes me sad, especially since both events had great courses with some technical sections. Races like these used to be the perfect kind of events for building my skill set ahead of international racing. Local racing has always been crucial for challenging myself and testing my fitness in all sorts of different environments. I used to chase men to get better, now I chase men to make them better. We all know dudes hate to be passed by a woman. Especially by an older woman 😂. If any ladies want to hear more about @tbfmultisport and @bear_race_events I’m here to answer your questions. Back to gravel riding now. The “fleeting” green hills around San Francisco are beautiful at the moment 🌞.

Our story… Kaya: A lot of changes have been made in my life throughout the last year. I fully recovered from a nervous system that was hurt, I moved to Germany, I changed teams, and I chased my dreams. One person who’s been a stable, consistent, positive presence while I find my way has been Katerina. I’ve had the opportunity to be mentored by her through the support of the Clif Family Foundation. It has been eye opening to learn and laugh with such a gritty, devoted, and genuine woman, empowering to say the least. I’ve loved to dive into the how’s, why’s, where’s, what’s and who’s of Katerinas career, but what I’ve enjoyed the most is getting to simply just chat. As friends. I get to absorb her wisdom and we get to share stories. And through that I am able to see my own path, from a Birds Eye view. Not something to shy away from, but to fight for. The kindness and compassion Katerina has given me through the highs and the lows is something I’ll never forget. I’ve learned so much from being apart of this genuine family and i couldn’t have more love for Katerina and the Clif Family Foundation for helping me live my dreams. Thank-you a million Katerina: Last fall, I stepped back into cyclocross race action through the mentorship of Kaya. I’ve enjoyed working with Kaya and find myself reflecting on CX-specific and general cycling career paths and the opportunity to share knowledge gained as a bike racer. Kaya asks questions that require me to pause and dig deeper into my experiences when I was her age. It is valuable that I can give her the perspective of a mature athlete, that only mature athletes have. I think we connected over many things, but the one I value the most is our shared pursuit of personal best. Throughout my career, I’ve always been driven by a desire to continually improve, regardless of the outcome of race results. I see lot of that in Kaya. I’m excited about her upcoming road season and build-up towards the next CX season. Thank you Clif Family Foundation for the support that helps me to continue to compete, while also providing me the chance to give back through the mentorship connection. The two of us are stoked we found each other!

Time for a challenge as my 2026 competition season starts this weekend with a 50km skate ski race in Whistler. I raced a few 50’s back in 2003 during my last ski season before making a full switch to cycling. I’m not feeling all that ready or confident going into the weekend, but it’s pretty neat that we get to race some of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics trails. Especially since the inspiration from recent games is still very fresh. All in all, I’m stoked for the physical challenge ahead and for a chance to ignite the competitive spirit again. I’m planning on a few bike events too, but first we ski! Hopefully the ski gods deliver fast snow for us 🤩.

Long before I knew what bike would mean to me, I enjoyed riding it. Long before I knew what bike racing , endorphins, or cognitive health is, I knew riding a bike made me calm and happy. In some ways, I always rode life troubles away and will forever be thankful to find a way to help myself. All I needed was a bike! Knowing bikes have magic powers for me, I’m more than happy to support kids and bikes. Maybe they will also find their calm space while pedaling their bikes. PLEASE help me get more bikes for kids in need while supporting @outride on this Giving Tuesday. You can either donate or bid on a beautiful custom painted limited addition Outride Roubaix. Available sizes from 49-61! The paint job is amazing! Go take a look - Link in bio or in my stories! Thank you for your help 🙏 #outride #whatwillyououtride #rideforsomethingmore

November- all over the place. California, Switzerland, home 🇨🇿, and back to California. Trying to strike the balance between work, family and little bit of riding. Determined to keep the fitness going. Stoked to jump into one more local cross race in San Francisco. Undisclosed location, great course, and vibes. Bring on December! Waiting for the snow to fall. Waiting to slide again ⛷️ .
