She stands between light and depth,
where the water holds her like a question
She could turn her back to the sun,
let the gold spill past her shoulders, or choose the quiet pull of what lies beneath.
Or she could turn and face it
let the light find her eyes
warm her
ask her to be seen

Nepal through my lens Pt 1
You slowed me down in all the ways I didn’t know I needed,
and gave me the strength and resilience to walk through Between mountains that feel older than memory,
forests that breathe in deep greens,
and villages wrapped in prayer flags and morning light.
I met people whose warmth needed no shared language,
children who turned open fields into cricket stadiums.
Dogs waited patiently on mountain paths,
temples stood steady in the shadows,
and the land reminded me how connected everything is.
