The sea doesn’t say to the shore, I am sea, you are shore. The name you carry, the identity you carry, these are just temporary masks. What lies beneath?

Making music is for me is a compulsion, sometimes I cannot rest until a song in transit is born. Music is so much about becoming an empty vessel and allowing what is coming to come. I’m so grateful for music, what would life be without it? I will be sharing more of this part of my life on the gram, including some more live stuff. Stay tuned if you like it ❤️

I could tell you what fire is like, but you will never know fire until you experience it directly. The same is true of your divinity. To know the substance of all things, that which lies behind the human mask, moves the wind and gives form to the trees, you can only know this by direct experience. This knowing is an encounter of self so fluid that it goes beyond mental knowing. There is just presence and you are all of it and none of it. From this presence we witness the dance of form and formlessness, with creation and death flowing from the centre. In this presence there is no need for a teacher and no need for a teaching, there is no need for healing and no need for forgiveness. There is just life itself in a dance of celebration.

👇🏽 1. No one is going to make it happen for you. You have to be your own biggest fan. People come and go — you will be with you until the end. Stay humble but back yourself. 2. The world doesn’t give you what you want. It only mirrors what you already feel. Learn to feel satisfied with what you already have. 3. Nothing will ever be perfect. Stop obsessing over the small stuff. Life is happening right now — enjoy the moment it will never be the same again. 4. Surrender to what truly moves you. Even a “successful” life feels empty if you’re not living authentically. Do what lights you up. 5. Not everyone is ready to receive you — even when your intentions are pure some people will enjoy to watch you fall. Don’t waste your energy where it’s not returned. Protect your peace and move on. Can you relate? Drop a number below tell me how you feel..

Lately, I’m reminded once again that life is an endless, sacred practice of letting go. Again and again, I have to release the flawless perfection I once believed was possible—the shining spotless future I painted so vividly in my mind. Life is messy, love is messy, nothing is ever entirely complete. When everything is finally stripped away—when all the illusions, expectations, and carefully constructed stories fall silent—what remains is simple, how we feel in this moment. At our core, there is only this raw presence. No grand achievements. No perfect outcomes. Just the quiet honesty of sensation and breath, carrying us through whatever life brings. This is where I find my freedom—not in holding tighter, but in the repeated act of opening my hands letting go. Sometimes it doesn’t make sense, but letting go doesn’t always need understanding, just trust.

What happens when men stop competing with each other? I grew up with an older brother who was physically and emotionally abusive. He took every chance he could to break me down. To make matters worse, I lost my father to cancer at 11 years old. I got to witness toxic masculinity firsthand from a young age—what it looks like, how it grows. It only strengthened my resolve that the most intelligent way forward—the only way forward—is to stay open, to stay vulnerable. Today, men have a mountain to climb. Not only because most of us grew up with emotionally void parents, but because the whole system isolates men by forcing them into competition, into being callous. Yet the old masculine paradigm is slowly dying. Women want a sensitive man. They want a man who feels, a man whose masculinity is defined by the charity of his spirit. There are a whole lot of people who want to see this change—and then there’s the old toxic masculine spirit on the sidelines, terrified of anything that could be perceived as weakness, ready to mock and shame. That noise is being drowned out by the power of brotherhood, by community, and by men who are coming to understand what it really means to be a man.

The process of inner alignment begins with becoming aware of how we feel. Suppressing our emotions leads to burn out and spiritual exhaustion. Even when we keep it all together it’s just a matter of time until the nervous system shuts down. When it comes to trying to achieve more, slowing down to become more aware may feel counter intuitive, but it’s essential to our longevity.

Sometimes the happiest I feel is when I am doing nothing—when I have no obligations to be anything for anybody, and most of all, no obligations to myself or that voice inside my head that says, “You need to do more,” or, “It’s not enough.” When I have no desires, no needs to fulfill, no words to say... When all there is is the feeling of my body on the earth and the sun on my skin, my mind is like the sky and thoughts are just birds, making their way to some place or other in the hazy hue of another golden sunset. 📸@luciekaneel

Every time I wait for tomorrow it never comes, tomorrow is always a today. It seems I only have today. Nothing but the present moment is actually here. The past is only real when we remember and the future is not written yet. “May you live each day of your life”

Just as the sun shines on both the bad & the good, the embodied masculine shines presence & love unconditionally. 📸@lyallsprong
