On Tuesday I had my first crack at calling a show - lucky it was one I directed 🥹
As fate would have it I had @laurahansford by my side, a lovely gift from the universe. Those who know Laura will know.
I also got to watch Katie, Jon and Alex do their thing. And what a thing it is. 3 super stars who I am privileged to have led to create the most sparkly, hilarious joyful show.
Huge thank you to @brisbanefestival for programming our work, to Alex for originally believing in it for @brisbanemusicfestival and to Katie for inviting me on the journey. Here’s to many more.

Costume design for the Bleach Festival finale Cavalcade. A live operatic experience featuring opera, orchestra and equestrian acts on the beach under the stars (or clouds and rain as our case was over the weekend 😅)
This fiery creation was designed to move with the music and command our sandy stage.
The theme of the show was control to freedom showcased through the various styles of horsemanship in the show. Working closely with the vision of creative directors @michaelzavros & @gav.webber I tried to implement these themes into Katies costume through corsetry, binding her arms and the freedom in the movement of fabric.
